Tuesday 3rd May - Sunday 8th May Two local artists, Gill Drew and Sue Colyer, are staging an exhibition of new works at The Light Room Gallery
in Alresford. Gill is a figurative and landscape painter who works on evocative and intimate paintings in acrylics and Sue is a passionate watercolour artist working mainly on landscapes but is also introducing some mixed media and resin works, all with a contemporary feel. open every day from 10am to 4pm. The exhibition is free and in the heart of Alresford, a perfect place to come for a browse and a leisurely coffee. Saturday 4th June The East Stratton Fete & Dog Show
This quintessential village fete will be held on the village green opposite the Northbrook Arms PH in East Stratton, described as one of the best preserved estate villages in the south of England and set in a conservation area just off the A33 about 5 miles north of Winchester (SO21 3DX). It offers genuine family entertainment for all ages with a wide range of stalls and sideshows, a barbecue and Pimms bar, a children’s entertainer, tractor & trailer rides, jazz band and fun dog show as well as a grand draw with numerous exciting prizes. Car parking and entry is free.
