The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations in Upham
Janet Dunford and a team is planning Upham Village events to celebrate the Jubilee. Thursday 2nd June - Evening (after dark) The lighting of a beacon at the top of the hill behind the recreation ground. Friday 3 June, evening in Upper Village Hall - Celebration Dinner and Dance, with the Salisbuty Big Brand. Sunday 5th lunchtime - A village bring-and-share.bring-your-own family picnic for all at the recreation ground. Fancy Dress, Childrens Races. Any volunteers to join the jubilee committee or just help with these events are more than welcome, or more ideas. Droxford Country Fair
12:30pm – 4:00pm - This has been a highlight in the village calendar, held on the first Saturday in June, since at least the 1940's! A traditional country fair with activities for all the family, we ai to involve as many Droxford residents and organisations as we can to help fun the day. Whether that be helping to set everything up, running a game or stall for an hour, helping on the bbq or bar, or mannng the entrance. All profits on the day are allocated to local organisations who apply for funds at the AGM. West Meon Church Fete
After 2 cancelled years, the West Meon Church Fete is back! It will take place once again in the lovely grounds of West Meon House, GU32 1JG in the heart of West Meon at 2-4:30pm. Come along and enjoy an afternoon of live jazz courtesy of ‘East of Meon’ whilst supping Pimms or savouring a cream tea. All the favourite stalls are back including cakes, plants, books and cds, preserves, bric-a-brac and of course the infamous bottle stall where you take your chances and win a nice bottle of red or possibly a bottle of shampoo! Side shows to entertain the children include a bouncy castle, a traditional coconut shy, human fruit machine, fishing for ducks, jam jar jamboree and much more…… There will also be a raffle with lots of fabulous prizes donated by local businesses. Durley Church Fete
A traditional village fete in the beautiful garden of Wintershill Hall, Sciviers Lane, Durley, SO32 2AL. From 12.30am to 3.30pm. Lunches, Teas, Music, Stalls, Sideshows, Beer Tent, Clink and Drink Bar, Fun Dog Show. Lots of sideshows for children at pocket money prices. Entrance £2 (young people under 16 Free).

Good Festival 2022
From 9.30am -4.30pm at Bere Mill Farm, Whitchurch, Hampshire Good Festival (formerly Hampshire Country & Garden Festival) is a fun-filled day for all of the family hosted by the Hampshire Medical Fund, raising money for Basingstoke, Andover and Winchester NHS hospitals. The children’s area will be jam-packed with exciting activities from face painting to bush craft. Live music from brass band, Tuba Libres, will have you dancing around the hay bales. The Good Living Tent will host yoga sessions alongside fly fishing tuition on the banks of the River Test.
There will be a line-up of stalls from local artisans, food and drink producers, plant nurseries and a mouth-watering array of food providers including a barbeque feast from Bere Mill itself, a hog roast, locally roasted coffee and handmade cakes. Don’t forget to bring your dogs to enter the popular family fun dog show and be in with a chance to win ‘Waggiest Tail’; pick up some tricks from local dog trainers while you are there. There is something for everyone in this fun festival celebrating all that is good about being in the great outdoors. Soberton Village Fete
From 12noon - 4pm. A traditional English Village Fete on the Soberton Church Green. Full range of stalls (Country fare, Plants, Aladdins Cave, Books, Toys etc) plus Games, Grand Draw, Auction of Promises, Displays, Tug of War competition and Fun Dog Show. Refreshments available – teas, BBQ, ice cream and strawberries. Entry of £2 includes free entry into the 'Lucky Draw'. Ample free parking. Just off A32 north of Wickham ( SO32 3PF)

Armed Forces Day Memorial Convoy
The convoy will leave Southwick at approximately 10 am and will take the B2177 to Wickham, the A32 through the Meon Valley to the A31 at Alton. From Alton the convoy will exit via the B3349 on route to the former Lasham Airfield GU34 5SS for a short stop over. They will then take the A339 to Basingstoke arriving at approximately noon.
