Art Club! Does your child love art? Then Petersfield Museum Art Club is for them. From drawing to watercolours, pastels to sculpture these classes will explore a wide variety of art and artists. Young people will learn and develop their artistic skills in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Classes are led by professional artist and art tutor Michelle Puddy who will encourage participants to enjoy creating a wide variety of artwork ready to adorn your Fridge Gallery and each year the best artwork from each child will be part of our annual Art Club exhibition. Art Club takes place every Monday and are booked half termly.

I learned dress-making as a girl from my mother and started quilting in the seventies. I have always loved sewing and I enjoy quilting because there are so many different styles and techniques to try - something for everyone! It is also a social activity. There are many quilting groups such as The National Quilters Guild and numerous local groups.” 20 August -25 September FREE, donations welcome. this engaging, inspiring poetry workshop, suitable for all abilities.
Join award-winning queer poet and former Petersfield Museum Poet-in-Residence Ellora Sutton to write poems inspired by and responding to works of art. What stories are there hidden in the paintings of Flora Twort? What characters are waiting to speak to you from the photographs of Don Eades? What techniques might we, as poets, steal from visual artists? And how can we use art to overcome writer’s block?
