PROJECT 1 SPECULATIVE LANDSCAPES January 27, 2020

Micro drawings

After
In this project we were asked to select some pictures. Then, we were asked to complete the photo we chose with our imagination and create an imaginary landscape. For this project, I chose a picture with linear lines. We drew the changes of this imaginary landscape, before, present and after. Then we made micro drawings from some parts of these (before, present, after) drawings.
One-material model
Two-material model
Finally, we made the one-material model and the two-material model of our imaginary landscape. In the one-material model, I preferred the hair rope used in the installations. In the two-material model, I preferred grid wire and wool thread.
PROJECT 2 AMPHIBIANS February 10, 2020
In this project, we designed a water structure that will be associated with land and water. It was our first structure project to understand the structure. I chose the Bebek beach for this study
For this, we made a mapping to better understand the Bebek beach. For this project, I chose a quiet place where there is less flow of people and that does not block the main walking path without fishermen. In this way, I aimed to make the region active by making them come to the structure that I will design.

In this project, people will be able to enter a half-open, half-closed area and walk to the whole view of the Bebek Beach from different angles, and then they will be able to sit and spend time with the wave of the sea when they reach the part of the structure that is in contact with the sea. So that people can have different experiences and activate the monotonous air of this beach.

PROJECT 3 STORAGE + X / PRODUCTION + X March 6, 2020 Although TaĹ&#x;kale is a historical place, it has been neglected or has never been hangled inorder not to spoil the existing historical texture. People are generally old people. Everyone is dealing with something, but they don’t come together for a common purpose. When you first go to the village, it is quiet, calm and has an abandonment. In addition, as the transportation to the city centre is difficult and remote, most of the villagers are scattered their food and fuel in a corner of their house or outside. Another thing that caught my attention in the village was that chickpeas and oats were put in sacks and thrown aside. I think that by processing theseegumes with traditional methods, creating a social space. I can activate the people of the village by both storing things and establishing a deeper relationship with the natural environment.

In order to protect the traditional life of the village, legumes are dried on the roof of the building. The canopy that can be opened and closed allows different actions. (In the drying process, the open mold remains closed while pouring into the columns.) Then the dried legumes are dropped from the columns to be removed from certain powders and poured into the collection unit below. Due to the arrangement of the pillars, a semi-bright half-dark area is formed under it, and the peasant can rest there. Legumes poured into the assembly unit are taken to the storage unit and the villager can come and pick it up at any time. In this way, we increase production, storage and socialization.
