Welcome

MRS. RACHEL PERKINS HEAD OF PRIMARY headpri-bkk@regents.ac.th

Dear Parents, we have had an eventful 2 weeks with the school closure last week and I must say I have been very impressed with the children’s attitude when returning to school. They have worked very hard to catch up on any missed studies and the teachers have also returned to school with a very productive attitude to making up the lost learning time. The children have now completed their end of Term assessments and the teachers and I are very pleased with their overall progress; as you know we test the children carefully here at The Regent’s so we can track their progress and put in any support which might be needed. On a personal note, I am delighted to tell you that I have been asked by Mr Kneath and the Board to resign my contract as Head of Primary for another two years and therefore I will be staying at The Regent’s until at least June 2015. I thoroughly love leading this school; it is a pleasure to watch the children develop and to welcome new children. I am looking forward

to working with the teachers, teaching assistants and senior management to help this school grow and to watch the children achieve their full potential. With this happy news, I would like to wish you a very happy weekend and hopefully I may see some of you at the Ploenchit Fait on Sunday at Bangkok Panana School. With best wishes,

Gifted and Talented Trip

by Teresa Watson

A few of our Gifted and Talented Year 4 and Year 5 students had a great day at Bangkok Patana School, Thursday 20 November, using their critical thinking skills in a creative manner. They worked in mixed school teams to solve critical thinking puzzles, created a character with disastrous problems and concluded the day by presented their characters to each other.
