Airline Reservations With the benefit of our in-house reservation system we are able to offer you booking confirmation and ticket issue within a few minutes of your initial enquiry. When a more complex itinerary is required we can utilise our systems and experience to get the best fare for you. Our choice of airlines and fares is considerable from upper class tickets to low cost, ‘no frills’ airlines we’ve got it covered.
Marine Specialists Our marine travel team deal with all aspects of marine and offshore travel requirements. The department has experience in working with multinational ship’s crew and offshore working patterns. This can range from organising large group turnarounds, booking last minute flights or transferring crew members ship to ship.
Airport Parking We can pre-book secure airport parking at all UK airports. Special rates are usually available for advanced bookings and guaranteed space is secured. This can be invaluable, especially at peak times.

Timing is everything
This means rates can fluctuate on a daily basis depending on demand. Typically this is referred to as Best Available Rate, which is the best rate offered at the time of booking.
The further in advance you book, the lower the rates can be. If you do have to travel at a peak time, you will pay a higher rate but, we have buying power with hotels so the chances are you will receive additional benefits such as free breakfast and Wi-Fi, which you won’t get online.
Suppliers use this method to maximise their revenue in times when demand is high – conferences, trade shows, international events. Outside of these key events, rates will drop.
We have negotiated discounts with suppliers Due to the volume of bookings made by us, we often have access to discounts not available through all other channels. For many, the preconception is that booking online is cheaper but this is rarely the case, especially when you need flexibility. We can also help keep you informed of your paid travel trips, helping you to keep an eye on your travel budget and making you aware of what you are spending.
We can secure better rates at the last minute If there is limited availability during busy times, suppliers will close out all online channels so it appears sold out, but actually, accomodation may still be available because we have access to live availability. We will know straight away what’s available, and be able to book it for you.

We will also create a full profile on you, enabling us to protect you while travelling by accessing your emergency contact details. The details of your trip will be recorded, so that your journey can be monitored. You could have a full trip itinerary sent to your smartphone, and any changes that need to be made will be taken care of by us.
Journey & during the trip You’ll be contacted with updates about changes to your journey. If required, your pre-booked transfer will be waiting at arrivals to collect you. At the hotel checkin desk, you’ll be more likely to receive a room upgrade, and you’ll collect your loyalty points if you’re a member. Searches on our computer reservation system for hotel availability will give access to a hotel’s own live inventory and will offer the cheapest rate available. Where possible, we will help to negotiate a preferred rate where the number of room-nights would merit such a rate.
Collecting Loyalty Rewards Love collecting loyalty rewards on your travel arangements? This doesn’t have to stop because you are booking through Fred. I started my first job as a business travel consultant in 2008 after working for DFDS Seaways for 2 years. I really enjoy working within this side of the travel industry, every day is different and produces new challenges. I joined the team at Fred Olsen Business Travel beginning of May 2015 as Assistant Manager and in July I took on the role of Operations Manager.

I have been in the Travel industry since 1993, of which the majority has been for Fred. Olsen Business Travel and I am currently employed as Assistant Manager. I enjoy the variety that the role provides, dealing with business trips as well as packaging flights to form holidays. On occasions the job is challenging but rewarding at the same time. I have worked for Fred. Olsen Travel since 1990. I am responsible for the Administration for Business Travel. My job role is very diverse, no two days are ever the same. I constantly liase with our own in house accounts department processing documentation for both consumer and trade bookings, as well as online hotel and car hire reconciliation.
Tanya Fuller - Group Travel Co-ordinator
I joined Fred. Olsen in 2002 starting my career as a Trainee Travel Agent in the Fred. Olsen Travel retail branch in Felixstowe. I quickly worked my way up to Assistant Manager and enjoyed 5 years in that role. In 2008, I opted for a change in career path and started training in the Business Travel team . I was successful in my job role and in 2010 was promoted to Assistant Manager, then Operations Manager before starting my family. I returned to work in May 2016 after my maternity leave, to focus on group travel.
