River Cruises! Paris to Normandy with Avalon Waterways... “I was one of six travel agents to be given the opportunity to experience life onboard one of the latest additions to the Avalon Waterways luxury river cruise fleet, the Avalon Tapestry II. On board for the first 4 nights of their 7 night ‘Paris to Normandy’s Landing Beaches’ itinerary I was lucky enough to visit landmarks such as Claude Monet’s house and gardens in Giverny; Chateau Gaillard in Les Andelys; and Normandy’s famous landing beaches including Juno Beach...”
Small Ships! Nautica’s multi-million dollar refit really shows “If you are looking for a smaller ship, carrying less than 1,000 passengers, appreciate fine dining with impeccable service, and prefer country club casual to DJ’s and Ball Gowns, then Oceania Cruises’ Nautica would be an excellent choice for you. I toured the ship following her refit and took a number of photos of both the staterooms, suites and public areas, to give you an idea of what you can expect on board this lovely, luxury ship.”
Ocean Cruises! Singing the praises of ‘Anthem of the Seas’ “The first ship in Royal Caribbean International’s ‘Quantum class’, Quantum of the Seas, was launched in 2014, so I had wanted to get on Anthem of the Seas since I knew she would be based in Southampton. I was offered a cabin for her two night inaugural cruise and from the moment I checked in at home using their straightforward system, I knew that my time on board would be worth the wait. Anyone who likes large ships, with plenty of action, and a big choice of dining venues, will surely have a fantastic time. A highlight of my trip was watching ‘We Will Rock You’, the main show being performed onboard Anthem of the Seas. The show lasted just under two hours and went without a hitch, to rapturous applause from the audience…”

Experience the magic of the Nile The river Nile, as the longest river in the world, is a real interest of mine, and I have created a dedicated website www.nilecruiseswithgocruise.co.uk to give you more information on cruising the Nile, as well as land based holidays in Egypt. It is worth mentioning that whilst the situation in Egypt has been somewhat turbulent over the last few years, the tourist areas along the Nile river (eg Luxor, Aswan and the Valley of the Kings) have been unaffected and are currently not subject to restrictions by the FCO.
