With historic spaces that date back to the 1830’s, The Foundry Park Inn continues to impress guests at its prime downtown Athens location. Often described as a small ‘village within the city,’ couples love the convenience of onsite venue, catering, spa, entertainment and accommodations. It’s all here! The Inn is home to four of the only truly historic ballrooms in Athens. Wedding Guest Accommodations at The Foundry Park Inn & Spa

How to set up Guest Accommodations for your wedding weekend You may contract a group block for your wedding party and guests of up to 25 rooms. Once all the rooms in your block are reserved, additional rooms may be added based on availability. The group block contract does not hold you financially liable for any hotel rooms you block, only those that are specifically reserved in your name. Any rooms that are not reserved 30 days prior to your wedding weekend will be automatically released into our general inventory. At this point, guests may continue to make reservations, but we can no longer guarantee availability or the block room rate. Should we have hotel rooms available, we are happy to include the additional reservations in your block. *Hotel Suites cannot be blocked and are booked by reservation only.

The Foundry Presidential Suite The 1,200 square foot Foundry Presidential suite is our finest accommodation for the most discriminating guests. The suite includes a dining area, living area and kitchen along with a guest bedroom with two double beds and a full bath with granite countertops and a soaking tub. The master bedroom invites you to sink into the four poster king bed and experience complete relaxation. The master bath is luxuriously appointed with granite countertops, a soaking tub and a separate shower with dual rain shower heads.

Rental Rates

Banquet Space rental rates depend on the date, time and size of your event. Please see our Wedding Sales Manager for rates. Rental rates include the following: *Use of the space for 4 hours for your event, with 2 additional hours available prior for vendor set up. Additional time may be added prior to your event for $200 per hour. * Foundry house linen of your color choices of black, ivory or white underlay & white or black overlay * All the tables and Foundry house banquet chairs you may need * Event space set up and clean up * Your basic catering needs (glassware, silverware, china & white linen napkins) * Foundry House Centerpieces with Votive Candles * Bottle of Champagne or sparkling cider on cake table for bride and groom * Banquet Captain and Service Team dedicated to your event * Complimentary Self-Parking *Please see enclosed list of Wedding Enhancements for pricing on additional dĂŠcor, dance floors, specialty linen, chair upgrades, etc*

The Booking Process

Once you have decided on your date and space, your sales manager will send you a contract for your banquet space and hotel rooms (if applicable). The contract gives you the first right of refusal should another client request your date and banquet space. After 14 days your signed contract along with a $200 deposit per banquet space reserved must be received in order to confirm your date and space, otherwise all banquet space and hotel rooms will be released to the next inquiry. The Melting Point requires a $1000 deposit. Should your event cancel once the deposit is paid, all payments are non-refundable or transferable.

Schedule of Payments

The initial deposit of $200 per banquet space ($1000 for the Melting Point) is due when you first sign your agreement; the next payment of 50% is due 30 days prior to the event. The final payment is due along with the final guaranteed number of guests one week prior to your event date. All payments are non refundable.

Ceremony Rehearsal

Rehearsal times will be scheduled like any other event. We do offer you a complimentary time and space to rehearse, but you may have to work around other events at the Inn. While we always try to accommodate rehearsals in the true ceremony location, we cannot always guarantee that your rehearsal space will be in the same space as your ceremony.

Vendors

We are happy to recommended vendors that have successfully worked with The Foundry Park Inn in the past, or you are welcome to provide your own florist, photographer, officiate, music, transportation, cake, or videographer! Please note that glitter and confetti may not be used in banquet spaces, and holes may not be put into walls.

Transportation

We are happy to offer two complimentary shuttle trips within a five mile radius in our 12 guest shuttle van for wedding groups that have a hotel room block, wedding ceremony or reception at The Inn. Shuttle reservations are on a first-come, first served basis and cannot be guaranteed unless reserved. If transportation is required for your event, please arrange this with our front desk.

Schedule for Planning

Menu selections and planning can commence two to four months prior to your wedding. A detailed wedding planning checklist will be given prior to the meeting for your review. All booking and arrangements with your various vendors (i.e. photographers, musicians, etc.) should be finalized before this meeting. Your Sales Manager will need a list of all vendors including contact name and cell phone numbers. Typically this meeting is done in conjunction with the menu tasting if applicable.

The Foundry Park Inn & Spa Catering Policies

Catering Policy

Due to specific liability policies & licensing, all food and beverage (including alcohol) must be provided by the Foundry Park Inn with the exception of the wedding cake.

Wedding Cakes

Wedding groups are allowed to provide their own wedding and grooms cakes. The Foundry Park Inn is happy to offer recommendations to our preferred bakeries

Food & Beverage Minimums and Guest Counts

Food and beverage minimums are required for each catered event and depend on your date and time of day. Generally, food and beverage minimums are set on a per person basis. Due to the high demand of peak booking dates and seasons, higher food and beverage minimums are required on specific dates throughout the year. Generally these dates range from AprilJune, September -November. All food, beverage, specialty décor and rental arrangements are subject to taxable service charge of 20% and applicable Sales Tax. The final guaranteed number of guests must be received one week in advance. Your sales manager is happy to prepare a wedding estimate for your review.

Childrens Meals and Dietary Concerns

We offer an array of children’s meals, or children under 12 may eat your wedding meal for one half of the meal price. We are happy to accommodate guests with dietary restrictions.

Menu Tastings

We offer 3-4 Bridal Open House & Tasting events per year. Our tastings are a great way to view all spaces and suites and to try an array of menu selections & wedding cakes! These events are typically scheduled on Sunday afternoons to better accommodate busy schedules. Should you be unable to attend one of our Bridal Open Houses, we are happy to schedule a private tasting for 2 guests. These tastings include 4 menu items and 2 cake types. Private Tastings must be scheduled during weekday lunch hours.

Wedding Coordination

While your sales manager will work with you in planning all the details of your event, we do not offer day-of coordination for your wedding ceremony or reception. Please ask your sales manager about preferred Athens wedding coordinators that do offer special package pricing for events at The Foundry Park Inn. Your Foundry Park Inn Sales Manager will: • Answer questions, provide event suggestions and act as your primary Hotel Contact (While a wedding planner is not required, a coordinator is recommended for ceremonies and rehearsals) • Consult on all food and beverage selections to best suit your event • Coordinate all food and beverage, event set-up, timeline of events and coordination of vendors • Create a cost estimate of charges and your payment schedule • Recommend hotel contacts to assist you with arrangements for spa, transportation, entertainment and other activities • Coordinate the set-up of the contracted event space for the ceremony, reception and any other events • Arrange for tent rentals, specialty linens, specialty lighting, etc • Assist with etiquette, guidance and general flow for your ceremony, reception and toasts

The Hoyt House Restaurant

The Hoyt House is the definition of Southern hospitality in an enchanting and historic atmosphere. The two story historic home features an eclectic interior design, original brick fireplaces and a warm and friendly staff. Wedding guests will enjoy gathering for a delightful southern meal during their stay, and private rooms are available for pre and post wedding events such as bridal luncheons, farewell brunches and showers. Our culinary team prepares a full service breakfast and lunch menu full of southern fare, as well as several pre-order options for those on the go.


The Melting Point The Stage is Yours

Unique, memorable, out of the box, quintessentially Athens; all can be used to describe Athens Weddings at The Melting Point. The Melting Point is the Foundry Park Inn & Spa’s music venue, pub and restaurant. Playing host to a variety of acts most nights of the week, The Melting Point has been dubbed Athens most intimate music venue. This space has a great mix of Athens history as it was used as the original ‘melting point’ when The Foundry Park Inn was once a true Foundry where blacksmiths crafted fine works such as the UGA Arch and the Double-Barreled Cannon. Exposed bricks and original masonry from the 1850’s survive to this day. With its multi-level layout, outdoor terrace, superior sound system and historic character, The Melting Point is one venue that cannot be matched in style and character. This is especially true for those couples who wish to host a truly spectacular Athens wedding that is unforgettable to friends and family alike Couples enjoy the best of both worlds – they have both a soaring indoor space, and the option to open large glass doors onto the outdoor terrace.

Since the Melting Point is first and foremost a music venue, bands (and Dj’s!) have all they need to keep guests entertained. The venue comes equipped with all sound equipment including a highly skilled sound technician. What’s even better – all catering, planning and service is offered by The Foundry Park Inn. We can even help you to book your band! The space is great for parties both large and small.
