Inspired and Designed by Legendary Filmmaker, Writer, and Actor Sylvester Stallone Drawing inspiration for the theme and design of his signature pen from his recent film The Expendables, Sylvester Stallone then turned to classical art and worked with Montegrappa’s artisans to create the Chaos pen. Mr. Stallone’s idea of chaos was influenced by the works of 15th- and 16th-century artists including Battista Franco, Albrecht Dürer, Hans Sebald Beham, and Antonio Pollaiolo. The pen’s design is characterized by the juxtaposition of life and death, with images of reptiles representing the early forms of life on Earth, and the skull signifying death.
