First launched in 1941, the Parker 51 was unlike any other pen that had come before it. Between its unsurpassed writing qualities, innovative hooded nib, bold range of colors, and streamlined silhouette providing a seamless transition from its barrel to its hooded nib, the Parker 51 had its own distinctive identity and remains a prized possession of many pen aficionados worldwide. Like the original, the new Parker 51 barrel is made of a glossy resin and the hooded nib, like the original, has been maintained. Today’s Parker 51 has a screw cap fitting which improves the sealing around the nib, preventing the nib from going dry.
