Opening Pathways to Success

In literature, windows often symbolize a glimpse into other worlds and lead characters yearning to explore the great beyond. Looking through the windows that overlook the Prairie, our students find inspiration in the nature that surrounds them, both envisioning their dreams and realizing what the future holds. This year’s Annual Fund campaign, “Windows of the West: Opening Pathways to Success,” reminds us not only of the one-of-a-kind opportunities readily available within our own backyard but also of the influence we have on helping our students thrive beyond the imaginable.
Since 1930, Fountain Valley has embodied rigorous academic programs and traditions that embrace the great American West, enabling students from across the nation and around the world to discover new people and environments to their fullest extent. Like none other, FVS students attend seminars at the Class of ’69 Mountain Campus, participate in pack trips with their peers, and so much more. Through supportive faculty, Interim, and the Senior Capstone, just to name a few, our students are encouraged to look toward the future and discover who it is they wish to become.
Thanks to your generosity, we are bringing vision to reality for hundreds of students and hope to do so for the years to come. Together, we can make a difference in preparing the next generation of global citizens to lead courageously, compassionately, curiously, independently, and objectively.
Sincerely,
’25

From the day it was founded, we have been blessed with stellar stewardship by remarkable individuals who believed in the School as much as we alums do. If my modest gift every year can make even a token contribution toward ensuring that good stewardship continues, my checkbook—like my heart—is always open.
— Rick Gydesen ’77The Annual Fund allows individuals to show ongoing financial support for Fountain Valley School. Encompassing funds that allow FVS to operate on a daily basis, the Annual Fund benefits virtually every aspect of the School, enabling our institution to pay for immediate-need costs incurred throughout the year and to enhance campus culture, curricular offerings and more.
