Stretching across the top of 29 wildflower-blanketed acres on the southern ridge of Winchell Mountain, with commanding Catskills views, lies High View Farm.

The architectural and interior design duo of Andrew Halliday and DMW Greer have parlayed their thirty years of making bespoke homes in New York City, Southampton NY, Los Angeles, and London to create a next level EcoLux artistic endeavor in New York’s Hudson Valley. Collaborating with architect Graydon Yearick and LaGuardia Design Group Landscape Architects, HallidayGreer have realized a one-of-akind home for the future. A masterful symbiosis of Modernist design and rural barn.

“Relying mostly on local builders, tradesman and vendors, we set out to build a net zero compound using the highest quality sustainable materials available. Powered by the cool subterranean temperature of the earth and the endless, clean power of the sun. A self-sufficient compound that respects the rich history and diversity of this rural farming community with a commitment to the future.”

Located in the Hudson Valley, High View Farm is positioned on the southern ridge of Winchell Mountain in the northeast corner of Dutchess County where the Village of Millerton meets Pine Plains. With spectacular views west toward nearby Stissing Mountain and the Catskills in the distance, this nearly 29 acre farm rests on land that was home to the indigenous Lenape people before the arrival of the Dutch and English settlers in the early 18th century. The descendants of those early farmers remain a vital part of the culture and the economy today.

Kitchen and butler’s pantry countertops and backsplash are Brazilian Cielo Natural Quartzite in honed finish.

In addition to bespoke sofas, chairs and cabinetry from HallidayGreer’s workshops, the furnishings are sourced primarily from local antique dealers and craftsmen in the Hudson Valley. High View Farm is a blend of European and American classical, modernist, and contemporary pieces in a palette that reflects the rich colors of the surrounding landscape.
