Southern Vermont Best known as a winter recreation destination, home to Stratton Mountain Resort, Mount Snow Resort, Okemo Mountain and Bromley Mountain, Southern Vermont a short journey from the Northeast’s major metropolitan areas but feels like it’s a world away. Charming towns, such as Manchester, are woven together by quaint, country roads dotted with historic villages and Vermont landmarks such as the Vermont Country Store in Weston and vistas of the Green Mountains. Less than four hours from the urban centers of New York, Montreal and Connecticut and less than three from Boston, the Southern Vermont area offers peaceful historic small town living, world-class skiing and unequalled second-home convenience. The Rutland, Albany, Hartford/Springfield, and Manchester airports are each within a one or two-hour drive. Amtrak stops in Albany, Brattleboro, Rutland and Windsor add to Southern Vermont’s ease of travel. With so much so close, there is no other region in New England that makes the second-home dream so easy.

The Upper Valley The Upper Valley Region spans across the Connecticut River and covers central New Hampshire and Vermont. Hanover, home to Dartmouth College, is in the heart of the region. The dynamic college town compliments the natural beauty and outdoor lifestyle of the area wonderfully. In addition to Hanover, there are many historic towns throughout the region, including Norwich, Cornish, Plainfield, Lyme, Thetford, Fairlee and Orford. There are exciting small cities like Lebanon, home to the AVA Gallery and the Lebanon Opera House, as well as White River Junction, home to the Center for Cartoon Studies and the Tip Top Building, which houses artists, creative businesses and a cafĂŠ. Lake Morey and Lake Fairlee offer summer resort living.
