WELCOME 2014

WELCOME TO THE MATRIX 2014 PRODUCT CATALOGUE. AS WE ENTER OUR THIRD YEAR THE MATRIX RANGE CONTINUES TO GROW AND MATURE, WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF MANY NEW PRODUCTS DESIGNED TO HELP YOU CATCH MORE FISH. Although Matrix is only three years old, the reputation and credibility of the brand is now well established amongst Match and Pleasure anglers alike. This has been partly achieved through our innovative ‘Fresh Thinking’ design ethos, which looks at a specific fishing requirement and designs a solution with the angler and the product use in mind.

This can be clearly seen on the Carpmaster rod range. Whilst most manufacturers are designing rods based on two equal length sections for easy transport, the popular Carpmaster range works on a completely different principle that puts the fish-playing action first. However, because we understand the needs of the modern angler, who wants easy transport of made-up rods, the Carpmaster rods are designed in a way that still makes made-up transport easy.

In fact the same principles can be seen in our other two premium feeder ranges. The Horizon feeder is designed for maximum casting performance, with an ultra long spigot joint on the short butt section which produces awesome casting power. The new Horizon S Class, which is a more traditional feeder rod, is designed with two equal length sections and a separate quivertip.

This design improves fish-playing and casting control compared to a traditional three sectioned rod and transports much more easily.

It is not only the larger items that get the Matrix Fresh Thinking treatment. Our new Quick Change Lead Clip overcomes the problem of changing from an In-Line Method feeder or Pellet feeder, to a bomb without breaking down the rig. It is a simple solution that is not only quick it is completely fish safe and complies with all fishery rules.

Another area that has seen a lot of input is the Matrix Seatbox range. The new Match Master seatboxes offer outstanding value for money, with the full flexibility of using the highly regarded Matrix Seatbox units and drawer system to create a modular solution that can be customised to suit your personal preference.

Finally, I would like to point out that Matrix is a true European brand, with tackle designed for anglers throughout Europe. With the increasing popularity of feeder fishing, Matrix offers rods, reels and feeders designed especially for the European Match angler.

The Super Flat Pole Roller comes in two sizes and is a huge advancement on existing flat rollers.

Featuring long telescopic legs, with additional cam locking tension bars for stability, both rollers also come with a unique ‘Ground Spike’ for use directly on the ground. This makes them perfect for use on slightly raised banks.

EURO CANAL

Designed for Europe, the Euro Canal also makes a great match float for larger waters and rivers in the UK. Fitted with a sensitive fibre tip and a stable wire stem, the body shape holds back well in moving water. Perfect for traditional match baits like bloodworm, maggots, casters and chopped worm.

To reduce body damage it has an eye and also a line-through body.

BIG

The Big has a thick hollow plastic tip and a fibre stem for strength. Designed for fishing on the bottom with bigger baits, it is very stable making it perfect for deeper water and rough windy conditions. The Big has a line-through body without an eye to prevent body damage.

DOBBER

The Dobber has a short tip and a carbon stem making it perfect for fishing up in the water, or in the margins for carp on commercials.

CARPMASTER FEEDER

The Carpmaster Feeder rods are designed for fish-playing and have a two section design (plus quivertip) that combines a separate butt section with a long middle ‘playing’ section.

The reason for this is that it removes

the joint from the playing area of the rod producing a smoother action.

Although the design is radically different, the Carpmaster rods can still be transported easily in a made-up format.

Handle Length Carpmaster rods have different length handles designed for their intended use.

butt section, a long fish-playing main section and a quivertip. This configuration produces a seamless playing action without any section joins. For made-up transport, an EVA transport block is provided to hold the sections in place when in a holdall.

The short 8’ Little Pig is a fantastic close range rod and casts with great accuracy up to 25 metres, it is also brilliant for fishing the method in the margins, especially for larger fish.

Unlike many short rods designed for commercial waters, the Little Pig has

a powerful lower third that produces better casting control and also great fish-playing control, even with fish to 10lbs or more.

The 10’ Mk2 is a more versatile rod that will do almost everything from close range to 40 metres. This new model is a refined version of the original 10’ and now also has aggressive characteristics that makes a big difference when playing fish quickly. Both models are supplied with two quivertips and are rated for use with lines between 4 to 8lb.

Available in 3.3m (11’) and 3.6m (12’), both models have a reasonable amount of power in the lower third of the blank which enables accurate casting of 50g feeders up to 60 metres.

The 3.6m (12’) model has slightly more power than the 3.3m (11’), which combined with the additional length offers increased casting performance.

This makes it a good large water bream rod that is also suitable for method feeder carp fishing at 40 to 60 metres.

The two section design makes for easy made-up transportation. One point to note is that because the quivertip is removed for made-up transport it isn’t under tension and does not set in a slight curve.

Bolognese fishing is popular in many parts of Europe and the Reflex Bolo has been designed to satisfy the demands of anglers fishing for silver fish (bream, skimmers, roach and chub) on rivers and large flowing canals like Germany’s prolific Silo canal.

The top ring has a dual fixed position angle which can be used with a straight keepnet arm or a 90 degree arm. CHANGE FROM FEEDER TO A BOMB IN SECONDS

1. Remove your In-Line Method Feeder by pulling off the tail rubber and threading the bead and your hook through the hole in the base.

2. Place your main line into the groove of the Quick Change Lead Clip.

3. Place your bomb onto the clip by slipping it onto the small arm.

4. Push the Tail Rubber over the arm and onto the body of the Quick Change Lead Clip.

TAIL RUBBERS

The Tail Rubbers are used with the Evolution Method Feeders and also the lead clip. These tail rubbers push onto the stem of the Method feeders and also the Lead Clips to make a secure and neat finish.

The Rubber Quick Bead is used to connect your hooklength to the main line. The two part design has a simple quick change facility enabling hooklengths to be changed in seconds.

The In-Line Pellet Feeder is totally fish friendly and works in conjunction with the Rubber Quick Bead and the Tail Rubber. The open scoop at the back of the feeder enables the hookbait to be positioned perfectly in the pellets as they exit the feeder.

EVOLUTION FEEDER SYSTEM The Evolution Method feeders come in two styles - Elasticated and In-line and both are designed to work with the brilliant Squeeze and Feed Method Mould. Both the Elasticated and In-line versions come in Hooped and Open models.

The Hooped version provides better grip for groundbait or pellets and can be used for medium and long range fishing.

Simply place your hookbait into the mould, fill with bait, push in the feeder, turn over and squeeze the sides and the loaded Method pops out.

There’s no pulling, wiggling or buttons to push, just squeeze and feed for the perfect Method.

The Squeeze and Feed Method Feeder Mould is deeper than other moulds available and loads a larger amount of bait onto the feeder. This increased dome shape keeps fish concentrated on the feeder longer increasing the chances of a bite before the feed bait has been eaten.

The deep moulded ends accommodate most Method feeders and provide more movement for compression.

The unique design of the base, with central slots and compression sides, enables the feeder to be ‘squeezed’ out.

1. Fill the mould with groundbait or softened small pellets.

CAGE COATS
