‘I hear singing’ Signs
It is with great pleasure and excitement that the Board has announced one of Fox’s very own, Chris Allen, as the next CEO/President. Chris boasts Fox’s culture and financial strength. His ability to lead, his knowledge of who Fox is and where Fox wants to go put him as the top choice.
Five signs were installed throughout Appleton as a collaborative project involving the city, the Refuge Foundation for the Arts, Fox Communities Credit Union and Urban Evolutions. The signs, which say, “Appleton, I hear singing when I turn down our road,” are a folksy initiative spurred on by singer/songwriter Cory Chisel and Fox as they were discussing Mile of Music, Bike to the Beat and Appleton’s support for music and original artists. The verse on the signs comes from the lyrics of “Our Song,” an Appleton anthem written and performed at 2018 Bike to the Beat by Chisel and children from Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Fox Valley Region.

Upon the announcement of CEO/President, Greg Hilbert’s retirement, back in the summer of 2018, the Board of Directors started and recently completed a lengthy, thorough and productive journey to select Fox’s next CEO/President.
