Calling Foxhills “my Club” 10 questions with Richard Keys
Foxhills’ Members Magazine
The Fox Summer 2009 As I sat to write this note an email appeared at the bottom right hand of the screen, teasing me to open it. “I sustained an injury on the golf course today, at which time I tore a calf muscle merely walking too quickly uphill! I am now on crutches and out of action for a while.” Now I know what you’re thinking and the thought crossed my mind too. It continued... “My reason for writing to you is to pass on my thanks for the excellent support and help that I received from your team!
Contents Once again, Foxhills members have written my letter for me. Mike Bacon’s email sums up the wonderful spirit at our club; not just the care and teamwork of my colleagues but Mike’s generosity in acknowledging their efforts. Perhaps this is a reason more of you renewed your membership this April than at any time in the last seven years. I have just spoken on the phone to Mike, I am glad to report he is well and set to make a full recovery. Enjoy.
Greenkeeper, Darren picked me up took me to my car and loaded my equipment in and returned me to Membership. Treatments Manager, Ceri, packed the injury with ice, contacted my wife and advised Gary in the Shop of my predicament, who subsequently helped me and my wife back to my car, at which time we were able to get to the hospital.

Valentine’s Day has long been a special day for lovers all over the world to express their feelings for one another. This Valentine’s Day at 11.30 Phil and I did just that by marrying each other. It was a beautiful day full of love and sunshine, good friends, family and happiness; just as it should be. When leaving for our celebration venue to the tune of “Today this could be the greatest day of our lives” I knew that everything that followed would be perfect too as we had chosen a place that was not only close to our hearts but has never let us down for any occasion or event, no matter how big or small. Of course it had to be Foxhills. Always big on fun, friendliness, glamour and style, exactly what we wanted. My “hen day” was a luxurious spa day with my daughter Katie and my sister Carole whilst Phil and his Best Man Derek raced around the track at Mercedes World we were pampered and preened to perfection! Well as close as I
could get. The hens and stags met up later in the day for a wonderful and very traditional English tea at 3 0’ clock naturally in 19. The wedding celebrations started of course with a champagne reception and photos by Marion Mason Photography who made us all feel like movie stars. Into the library and a very glamorous red theme went from heart shaped balloons by Celebration Mania, to the favours of Love Heart sweets dressed in bags with lovebirds which I had made. The food was wonderful, beautifully presented and commented on by all of our guests. Whole succulent salmon, tender beef, mountains of prawns and an array of delicious salads, followed by a gorgeous dessert where even the plate was dressed with a berry red heartshaped coulis. The wine was excellent and the coffee and petit fours complemented the beautiful meal. Of course you need amazing family and friends too which is what we

All of the ladies had been affected by breast cancer in recent times but were happy to dress up for the event and have fun in the photos that were taken by professional photographer Pete Millsom. The calendar quickly sold out and over £7,000 was raised from sales. Recently Jo and Janet Clarke, another Foxhills member, presented Consultant

Thanks to everyone at Foxhills for making it such a wonderful event full of happy memories and for contributing to the enjoyment that we had. I don’t think we would have trusted anyone else with such an important day. Tracy and Phil We would love to host your special day. A donation of £4,000 was also added in to the funds by the masons. Jo and Janet would like to thank Marc Hayton and Jean Marc for allowing them to use the grounds and facilities of Foxhills on the day of the photo shoot and their support in publicising the calendar. They would also like to thank those members who bought the calendar.
STOP PRESS Foxhills would also like to congratulate Mike SinclairWilliams and Kevin Lynch, both having completed arguably the hardest running event in the worldthe Marathon des Sables, five marathons in five days in the Sahara Desert in April. Mike had ruptured his cruciate ligament in December and has had lots of help and support from Dean Tooby to get back to fitness. Mike and Kevin are both from Lyne and completed every stage together. Both are just back home and looking forward to TV, baths, the cold and their families. Well done to you both. For more information on Personal Training call 01932 704555 Also we would like to wish good luck to Tom Bond a Junior Member of Foxhills who will be taking part with his team from 398 Squadron (Air Training Corps) in an international event in order to raise money for Help for Heroes in Nijmegen, Holland, from the 19th - 26th July, they will be tasked to cover over 50miles in 2 days competing against other squadrons. Roger Hyder
Golf Operations Manager It seems like yesterday when we were all looking forward to Easter weekend and the Masters and yet we now find ourselves entering summer. I am very grateful for the compliments paid to David (Foxhills Course Superintendant) and his team following what was a tricky winter. It started with the 1st and 6th greens on Bernard Hunt being drained and was immediately followed by the front 9 bunkers on Bernard Hunt being rebuilt and re-modelled. This was then followed by a fairly mild winter and the course being under snow for 2 weeks in February. Much work was completed during this time and the compliments we received about the putting services were numerous. Talking of the Masters reminds me of a common ailment found at most golf courses in the UK at this time of year – its called Augusta Syndrome. It can strike anywhere across the UK in April and always occurs during, and especially after, the Masters. It can be a
very serious attack when the weather is sunny and seasonally warm. The main cause of this ailment is golfers tuning in to watch the world’s best players on the beautiful Augusta National and then wonder why their club’s greens aren’t every bit as good, especially as the weather is so good at the moment. Unfortunately the weather needs to be mild and warm for a good couple of weeks before the ground temperature picks up enough to allow the grass to grow in this country. Yet being golfers we tend to get a bit impatient and expect summer playing conditions when the sun comes out. Fortunately we seem to be a safe haven from Augusta Syndrome, but spare a thought for all those course managers out there who aren’t as lucky as our David. On a completely different note, I am pleased with the way the shop reopened in early April. After eventually making the decision to keep the Foxshop building as a shop, and not use it for the Spa instead, I think we achieved all our ambitions.
We were determined not to have a conventional cluttered overstocked golf shop trying to be everything to everyone. Instead we believe that we have accommodated the needs of most of our patrons with a leaning obviously towards the Golf and Spa operation.
Another is Adrian Heath who is assisting us in golf services whilst Richard Shaw is working in the shop throughout the summer. Richard is currently taking a degree at Birmingham University in Golf Club management.
Members automatically receive 10% discount on all crested merchandise and look out for some of the exciting offers on clubs, balls and clothing that are currently running. All you need to do is show your current membership card. On that note, membership have asked me to mention that all members checking in for a tee time, please have your membership cards with you to save time at check in. Also if you are just popping up to the range can I ask that you carry your cards.
We have taken on more course marshals this year that will be checking out the pace of play as well as the credentials of anyone using the courses. We are also tightening up on the standard of dress which sometimes dips at this time of year.
There will soon be a new retail area in the Youth Club area which will cater for the needs of tennis and fitness members.
Just to remind members that we made a change to the tee booking system following on from feedback after the AGM.
I know the members have enjoyed seeing the old team helping out in the shop although now summer is upon us, Richard our Head Professional and Nathan, our Senior Teaching Professional, will be seen more on the range than in the shop.
The bookable course is still bookable up to 4 weeks in advance but the big change is on the daily member’s roll-up.
Please don’t forget that Golf and Country Club members are entitled to participate in our complimentary member’s golf clinics. These are run both midweek as well as weekends so please check the shop for availability. The Golf Office has returned to the heart of the golf operation and is now situated in the back of the shop. Should you ever need to find me then that should be where you will find me or my team. New additions to our team include Stuart Paine who is mainly working in the golf
12 The Fox Summer Edition
office but will also be seen helping out in the shop. Stuart has a degree in golf business studies and previously worked for one of the country’s top golf events companies.
You can now phone the shop up on the day you wish to play and book any time after 10.00am. Should you want a tee time before 10.00am then you will still need to turn up in person, on the day, to book it. We believe that this will help members living a distance away to ensure that they don’t need to get to the club at the crack of dawn to get a mid-morning tee time. I look forward to seeing you up at the club very soon. Yours in Golf,

Cutting the greens daily, the roughs twice a week and the fairways four times a week, just how our members like them As Roger has already alluded to in his article, we have been through a very interesting winter and spring weatherwise. Of course, now that summer is upon us we find ourselves dealing with fresh challenges that the climate presents us with. Apart from cutting the greens daily, the roughs twice a week and the fairways four times a week, we still have to ensure that the putting surfaces are quick and true (just how our members like them). Back in early May we were already cutting the greens at a height of just 3.5mm. Many clubs won’t go below 4-5mm at anytime in the year. I was very happy with the results of the greens drainage on the 8th, 14th and 15th holes on Longcross. We created very little disturbance and managed to get the members back on the greens within a week. So far we have drained 7 greens on the Longcross and 3 greens on the Bernard Hunt and it is our ambition to complete 3 more greens on Bernard Hunt in October.
The new bunkers on the front 9 on Bernard Hunt have settled very well and once again we will be continuing the bunker programme on the back 9. Already this summer many members will have noticed that we have topped up the rest of the bunkers on the complex, although we will still have a problem with soil contamination until they are all rebuilt. The new tee on the 8th Longcross did suffer throughout the winter and spring but hopefully now members will be seeing the benefits of the considerable investment that we have made here. Fortunately the new tee on the 17th has settled in a lot better which is due mainly to it being in a more open space than the 8th.

I am very pleased also with the gorse planting on the 16th Bernard Hunt and the heather planting on the 4th hole. It is my intention to give these two holes more definition and make them look far more interesting when standing on the tee.
Hopefully members will be seeing the benefits of the considerable investment that we have made here

We all say it but how time flies, when you are having fun. A former captain Colin Woodbridge warned me during March that I was halfway through my year, I really could not believe it. I have certainly had a great deal of fun, with tremendous support from all the membership but there is still a great deal I wish to achieve. Our use of technology has taken a step forward mainly thanks to the team setting up competitions and the Committee funding new computer equipment we are now able to clock in prior to and enter our scores after we finish a round. This has made the publication of results less time consuming and we can be much more involved as the leader board and our position on it chances so rapidly. The Committee aim is to enable everyone who wants to enter competitions on line and I know from the conversation I have had with many of you that this should be our goal but that is for the future. I am especially pleased to see our Men’s teams doing so well – our Surrey Fives teams are through to the second round and both Kelso - Hamilton pairs are in great shape. The over 55s have done well in the
John Ling Trophy beating a very strong Hankley Common team. I look forward to similar success in the scratch and Waffrons leagues. Our Ladies are playing in the knock out phases of the Hicks, Centenary Bowl and Pearson. Our Quiz Night on 24th March was a brilliant evening with representation from all sections of our club. Our Quiz Master par excellence – Roger Hyder, kept us all in order. It was great to see my yoga companions there, the Aqua Ladies, four teams from Foxhills Bridge, the Wayfarers and the Membership squad out in force, as well as all you golfers. We had so much fun we planned another.
I would like to thank everyone who has landed in the bunkers on the sixth on Longcross, the ninth, fifteenth and now the eleventh on Bernard Hunt and paid a £1 fine, together with all of you who were persuaded by JJ to part with your money for the Donny McLean quiz or the raffle to push Marc into the plunge pool (Incidentally and hopefully a coincidence the winner of that competition Steph Brown has now left the country)so far this has raised over £400 for the Sparks. Our Master Pairs event on Easter Sunday, made us all concentrate with some great score being recorded – only one better than our winner Harvey Norris, who carded a net 67 only better by one Augusta player John Merrick with a 66. Harvey is sporting a new pair of shoes as his prize, sadly they are not green. Although raising money for our charity Sparks has not been my main objective during the year Sunday 14th June was the exception. Traditionally this is our big fund raising event and as times is hard and every charity is suffering from a lack of support I appreciated everyones contributions. Sparks funds medical research for Children, with the aim that
every child is born healthy and stays healthy. Those of you parents and grandparents for whom this is the case know how precious that is. I do hope you all enjoyed the day, in the sunshine. I hope those of you non golfers and all you golfers will be able to attend the Captain’s Charity dinner on Friday 17th July, when our special guests will explain what it takes to compete in the Olympic Games and how it feels to win a gold medal. The Coxed Pair from 1992 will be joined by an athlete from the Beijing games to explain the then and now of international sport. Most importantly I have had the opportunity to play with different players on all of our events – hopefully my usual playing companions will allow me to play with them again next year. It is very helpful to meet so many of you on the course as it is an ideal opportunity for you to express your views on what is going well and where we as a committee might improve. I am at Foxhills a great deal – in fact it has been suggested on more than one occasion that perhaps I live here so please do let me have your opinion.
Our serious events have been well supported, with some fantastic scores for the Spring Classic and more recently the Brian Peyton Trophy. The first round of the Club Championship is currently over subscribed. As Captain it is such a privilege to welcome other clubs to our Ladies and Mixed matches, to know that the course will look great and that everyone will be impressed by the post match refreshments in the Manor. It is very special to see many new faces representing our club.

Ten Questions
Ten Questions
Ten Questions with Richard Keys As part of our ongoing series, we asked Richard Keys the face of football on Sky TV (and Foxhills member) ten questions.
How long have you been with Sky TV? I moved to Sky TV nearly 20 years ago when I was the tender age of 32. I have enjoyed myself so much in that time although I have this reoccurring nightmare that someone will find me out one day and call it a day.
You must have seen some changes in that time? You can say that again. In my first year with sky it sometimes felt that I wasn’t in a studio. I felt like I was at home in my comfortable armchair reading the paper. I suppose that was because nobody was watching! One of the early goals we set ourselves was to get into 10 million homes and we recently achieved it. Not bad for an outfit that 20 years ago Sir Alex Ferguson said “this won’t work”. At Sky we now feel we are firmly part of the establishment rather than being on the outside.
Being in near the start of Sky Sports you must have witnessed some great events over the years? In my first year I was present when Faldo won the Open at St Andrews, Sampras won his first Grand Slam, the US Open, Evander Holyfield in Vegas winning his first world title, The B&H final at Lords, The FA and Scottish Cup Finals, and lets not forget my first gig for Sky – Darts at Pontyns in Skegness.
Why Foxhills? I joined Foxhills upon the recommendation of my good friend Ray Wilkins. I had played in his charity event over the years and noticed how the course and facilities got better and better every year. I love winding him up by calling Foxhills “My club!”. I used to be a member at a well known club not too far from here but my family and I feel much more welcome at Foxhills. We enjoy the family atmosphere, the friendly staff and members and the first class service. There are no airs and graces at Foxhills which is something that we love. Our son Josh and daughter Jemma love the Spa and Josh is really getting to grips with his golf which is getting me out on the course more now. 16 The Fox Summer Edition
What’s your handicap? I am off 18 but like all high handicappers I have good days and bad days. I am determined to get my handicap down although I do find it frustrating sometimes. I know I am improving and for the first time in my life I am committed to one club and the Professionals at Foxhills have taken me under their wing so there should be no excuses.
What do you like most about your job? I have the best seat in the house, watching the best football and I love both TV and football and I’m getting paid for it. I get to spend time with people I used to pay to go and see. People like Ray Wilkins, Ruud Hullit (a delightful man), Graham Souness, Andy Gray and countless others. It’s a dream job.
And least like? The travelling
What did you do before Sky? I started life as a journalist with the Wolverhampton Chronicle but after 5 months training and 3 months probation I had covered 1 Parish Council meeting and something else just as memorable so I left for London and joined Hayters the sports agency. Then I was 4 years in Liverpool working for commercial radio (and where
I met my beautiful wife Julia) then 2 years in Manchester working for Piccadilly radio. That was where I first met Ray Wilkins who said to me “you need to be working in God’s country fella” and that was when I returned to London to try to get in TV. I started as a scriptwriter for TV-AM and then was asked to present the sports news. The rest is history.
What was it like working on breakfast television? Apart from having to get up at 2.30am Monday to Friday it was fantastic. Breakfast telly was new to the UK and to be on live television 3 hours a day, 5 days a week was a fantastic grounding. I met some fantastic people and saw some funny things in the near 8 years I was there.
Who did you meet and what were some of the funny things that you saw? In those days all the stars would come in to see us whereas now you have to go and see them in their hotel. I remember Joan Collins coming in when she was very famous with Dynasty and because Gyles Brandreth was sick, she ended up reading the viewers letters out. Another one was sitting next to the great Charlton Heston who kept insisting I call him Chuck. I just couldn’t. How do you call Moses – Chuck? One bitter-sweet memory was meeting my
hero Ali but only after the Parkinsons had started to take hold. The Bee gees, Dudley Moore, the list goes on and on. One of my everlasting memories of that time was in the run-up to a general election when Labour party stalwart Denis Healey and my co-presenter Anne Diamond had a bust up on live TV which ended with him storming off camera and Anne in tears in the loo. I was left with having to hold the fort, live on TV, for 20 minutes whilst off camera Dennis was having a punch-up with our political editor. Oh they were the days.
Many thanks to Richard for taking time out of his busy schedule to answer our questions. If like Richard you want to belong to Foxhills, please call membership on 01932 704450 or email ahay@foxhills.co.uk

XIX
A fond farewell and a milestone reached Having now been open for just over two years, XIX continues to be a popular buzzing meeting place for golfers, diners, hotel and spa guests and everyone else looking for a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. A key contributing factor to the positive vibe in XIX since the opening has been one of our supervisors, Malinda. Returning home to South Africa in June, Malinda will be missed by both staff and guests alike.
My goodbye In my almost five years at Foxhills, I have been fortunate enough to meet and befriend a lot of our members and without you my stay would not have been as pleasant. I will dearly miss all our chats and the memories I got to gather. I am returning home to start a career and kick off my studies in nature photography. I appreciate that everyone welcomed me so warmly and it would be impossible to forget you! You made an amazing impact in my life and I am forever grateful. MALINDA-LEE
A big birthday Another supervisor has recently celebrated a milestone in the form of her 50th birthday. We are sure everyone will join the staff of XIX in wishing Kathy all the best.
Other news It is not just the staff who is enjoying some changes, but XIX itself is looking forward to offering its guests some changes. XIX aims to arrange themed evenings (skittles, quiz, etc.) but we welcome all suggestions to the supervisors. Originating from the dance classes in the clubhouse, XIX is now offering an early dining special every Tuesday night, available from 17h00-19h00 for a light meal and a drink. We still run a very successful music night every Friday night from 19h30-10h30. What could be more relaxing than a lovely meal with friends and the soothing sound of live piano at the background? Being a very interesting football season, XIX decided to make your viewing pleasure a little easier. We offer a simple but satisfying beer and burger football night special on major football evenings, which has appealed especially our male golfers after a challenging round. XIX is looking forward to offering our guests many more events throughout the year including Wimbledon specials for our tennis members and nine and dine has already kicked off for our golfers for a quick nine holes and a hot meal to finish it off. Bookings are welcome in XIX, which you can do direct, by calling 01932 70 4401. Our staff is always eagerly waiting to hear from you, so please pass any suggestions on to us and all comments are welcome. All XIX staff would like to thank our customers for your continuous support, cooperation during our busy ‘buzzing’ times and also the ever enjoyable friendly banter. We would kindly remind all that XIX is enjoyed by over 13’s accompanied by an adult. We look forward to what we hope is going to be a sizzling summer, but hey, when the rain comes in, at least the atmosphere will stay warm and friendly.

Family Breaks in August “Off to the seaside’’ the children shouted in delight as the family piled into the car. Buckets and spade in tow, windbreak on the roof, and picnic basket in the back, and they were off. The car hadn’t even reached the end of the road when Harry let out a scream. “Mummy Mummy, Bruno’s eaten the sandwiches!” Mrs Thomas looked over at Mr Thomas who sighed and said “Shall we go to Foxhills for the night?” The children cheered with joy and naughty Bruno was sent with his very full tummy to the kennels for the night.
If you like the Thomas’ fancy a break, why not make the most of the British Sun this summer and relax and unwind within 400 acres of Surrey’s best countryside. This summer we want you to enjoy your Club so why not stay over. With so much to do from the new Children’s Clubhouse, Family Indoor & Outdoor Pools, Restaurants, Beauty Parlour and not to mention our Sports Camps run by our resident coaches Fun Sport you will never want to leave. Why not try a different form of exercise this summer
Whatever age, fitness level or goal – it’s always good to exercise in the great outdoors.
Tennis, Golf, Spinning, Yoga, Pump ‘n’ Core, Fitball Abs or even skin brushing with an Elemis Skin brush 3 times a week at home with a regular dip into Hydro Therapy Pool and then outside for a quick dip into the Lagoon Pool in the Spa garden to keep the blood flow going, assist removing the toxins ready for the warm rays of the Surrey sunshine.
Have you seen the new group activity around Foxhills yet – using our Trim Trail routes and within the safety of our beautiful 400 acres. Nordic Walking is the fastest growing fitness activity in the world and is used by individuals, personal trainers, health clubs, physiotherapists, doctors and health promoters because it is highly effective, affordable and FUN! Polite notice for all Nordic Walkers: Don’t forget that your route around the Trim Trail will cross a couple of holes on our Championship courses, so we ask that you ‘Give Way to the Golfer’ and keep your eyes peeled for any players teeing off.
For more information call 01932 704555.
Benefits of Nordic Walking • Burns up to 46% more calories than ordinary walking • Reduces the pressure and looks after knees and joints • Tones the upper and lower body at the same time • Uses 90% of the skeletal muscles • Great for the Heart and Lungs • Ideal for neck, shoulder and back problems • Poles propel the walker along, making it easier
Poles propel the walker along, making it easier to move faster then normal without feeling the effort. It is one of the most effective cross training techniques for athletes and sportspeople who require ultimate cardiovascular and endurance conditioning. Nordic Walking is a specific fitness technique and is not to be confused with trekking, hill walking or trail running as the poles are not planted in front of the walker/runner but in a specific way that increases the use of the upper body. It can be
done by anybody, anywhere and does not require expensive equipment or clothing. Also ideal to travel just two miles from Foxhills to Chobham Common. Covering nearly 1,500 acres, it is the largest National Nature Reserve in the south-east of England and one of the finest remaining examples of lowland heath in the world. The Common is home to 300 species of wild flowers, including several species of native orchids, and a wide variety of bird life with over 100 different species recorded.
Please ask the Health Spa Reception, Fitness Team or come along on a Friday morning ready for a full body workout. Call 01932 704555 or email relax@foxhills.co.uk

healthspa
Launching our Spa Garden Treatment Menu We’d like to tell you how this was all well-planned. But the truth is, this wonderful space, was borne out of a mistake. Faced with plans that showed a poolside sauna and steam room that would have been very cosy we decided to put the sauna outside. And to stop it looking like a shed, we added a few other attractions. So depending on how you look at it we either have the most beautiful garden that complements the ethos of the healthspa or the world’s most expensive sauna. This garden hosts one of England’s first Natural Swimming Pools. This natural swimming pool purifies the water using plants and minerals and is absolutely chemicalfree. Alongside our Sauna from Finland, Hot tub and Shower experience. Around the Spa lawn we have the seven Indian sandstone bays, providing a little privacy and wonderful relaxing views. The planting in front of each one is distinct. Different colours and different scents. Where we can offer the Foxhills outside Spa Garden treatment selection here.

Foxhills Fitness Charity Day in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) Early one Saturday morning, the 16th to be exact, the Fitness Team led by myself and Kerry Lagden hosted a charity Aerobathon in aid of CRY. The event consisted of 10 classes as well as a Decathlon running over 4 hours. The event kicked off at 9am sharp with a high energy Zumba class taught by Caroline Parsons in dance studio, Tom Hall made a guest appearance teaching a dance anthems Spin class in the studio. After well earned refreshments of fruit, juice and Jaffa cakes it began again. This time with Combat taught energetically by Jon Hawkins (with a bad back!) in the dance studio and along side an 80’s Spin session taught by Dawn Adams sporting those 80’s musts have fluorescent leg warmers. For those who like the fresh air Carey Zaltsman held an Aqua class in the outdoor pool assisted by a rather enthusiastic James Webster who unfortunately didn’t wear a tiara unlike all the Aqua ladies. The ladies were also joined by our new addition to the gym team Chris Williams. Our resident Kerry Lagden kicked off the second half of the morning with her highly popular L.B.T. Enthusiasm was high, music was pumping and even a couple of the men braved the squats and lunges, well done chaps. The event wouldn’t be complete without a bit of comedy, so putting myself up for a giggle I lead my usual Spin class complete with Michael Jackson outfit along to; you guessed it a Michael Jackson soundtrack. With the finish line in sight and after a quick refuel and the odd change of clothes, Kerry Lagden ensured that any last energies were used up with a Step class and along side a Spin class with 70’s themed Stuart Fawcett complete with giant golden sunglasses. We would like to congratulate Andrew Butcher who managed to stayed on his bike for all the Spinning classes, completing 80 miles and burning over 4000 calories. Finally it was time to stretch those aching limbs, a welcome chill out after 4 hours of madness. Many calories burnt, sweat and fancy dress it was time to call it a day. Great fun was had by all whether it was doing Aerobics, Spinning, Aqua or the Decathlon. I think everyone would agree a good time was had by all. On behalf of all the Gym Team we would like to say a big thank you to the 70 plus members who attended, whether it was for 1 hour or for all 4 hours. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the instructors and guests who took part. Well done to all that helped ensure the event ran smoothly. Before I sign off I wanted to say one last special thank you to Kerry Lagden who played a major part in the organising and running of this event, without her commitment and drive the event would not have been such a success. Hope to see you at the next event, look out on the notice boards and Fox–e for new classes and event in September.
“A brilliant morning of fun and exercise. Well worth £20! All the instructors threw themselves into it fully making the atmosphere amazing. Let’s do it again next week! Thanks Kerry” Kate Heald, member
