TVD and bolts replacement As a result of increasing vibrations inside engine compartments, practically all car manufacturers use Torsional Vibration Dampers (TVDs) in their engines to reduce vibrations, which reduces the wear on other accessories and increases driver comfort. Over time these harsh conditions take their toll and the TVD should therefore be checked and replaced in due time in order not to compromise the other accessories in the engine.
One kit to do the job right first time When replacing a TVD on certain applications, mechanics often need new crankshaft and installation bolts, as the old ones can get stuck or damaged when removing the worn out TVD.
