INVESTIGATIONlog CARROLL SHERIFF Nov. 11 - A Gallo Rd., Carrollton woman reported damage to her vehicle. Nov. 11 - A security shack was broken into on Salineville Rd. and an electric heater was missing. Nov. 12 - Two dogs attacked each other at an Alliance Rd., Malvern animal clinic. Nov. 12 - An area man told deputies he mailed a check to the wrong address and the check was cashed. Nov. 13 - An Andora Rd., Carrollton woman reported receiving threats over the phone. Nov. 15 - A Tama Rd., Carrollton woman reported identity fraud. Nov. 15 - A Spring Rd., Carrollton woman reported an incident at her home. Nov. 16 - Deputies received a report of beef cows on the road near Riley’s Church on SR 39 near Salineville. Nov. 17 - A vehicle was broken into while parked on Sherrod Ave., Sherrodsville.

CARROLLTON POLICE Nov. 1 - An AEP employee working at the 12th St. location told officers someone entered the area and stole wire, scrap copper and about 300 feet of miscellaneous wire. Nov. 12 - A 16 year old Ravenna male was found at the YMCA after he ran away while his father was in the Sheriff’s office. Nov. 12 - A letter regarding a vehicle with no current license plates was sent to a 5th St. man. Nov. 15 - A letter was sent to the owner of a vehicle appearing to be full of trash parked at a 2nd St. residence. Nov. 15 - A Bowerston man was arrested on a warrant after he attempted to buy restricted medication from a Canton Rd. pharmacy. The man had two hypodermic needles in his pants pocket. Nov. 15 - While emptying parking meters on 2nd St. NE, an officer found a meter lying on the ground and delivered it to the police station. Nov. 15 - An East Canton female was arrested after an altercation on Jones Ave., Carrollton.

ACCIDENTreports CARROLL SHERIFF Nov. 11 - Kevin C. Olson, 22, of Columbus, TX, was traveling south on SR 9 and struck a deer. Nov. 13 - Rebecca L. Neidig of 740 Lincoln Ave., Carrollton, was heading north on SR 43 and stopped for a school bus preparing to pick up children. Jonathan D. Hively of 200 Timberline Lane, Carrollton, was behind Neidig and was unable to stop and struck the Neidig vehicle. Nov.15 - Three vehicles were stopped in traffic for a traffic signal on W. Canal St., Malvern. An unknown vehicle reportedly ran into the rear of the vehicle driven by Darla M. Mayle, 35, of 2030 Lemon Rd., Minerva. Mayle’s vehicle was shoved into the rear of the vehicle driven by Billy J. Criner, 19, of East Rochester. Criner’s vehicle was then pushed into the rear of the vehicle driven by Ann M. Raines, 52, of 278 Bark Rd., Dellroy. The deputy checked the area for vehicle parts from the unknown vehicle and found none. He did notice a piece of molding missing from above the license plate of the Mayle vehicle. Nov. 17 - Rodney S. Romano, 51, of 3118 Lander Rd., Malvern, was traveling on Alliance Rd. and slowing down to make a left hand turn into Colfor. Jerry L. Hahn, 76, of 710 W. Line St., Minerva, didn’t see Romano slowing and struck his vehicle in the rear. Hahn’s vehicle caught fire and burned. Both drivers were transported to Aultman Hospital by Bartley’s Ambulance. Hahn was cited for assured clear distance.

Nov. 17 - Jacob C. Haney, 16, of 75 Delaware Trail, Malvern, was westbound on Lace Rd. and lost control of his vehicle. The Ford Explorer went off the right side of the road and struck an embankment. Nov. 17 - An unknown vehicle was traveling north on Avalon Rd. The vehicle went off the right side of the road striking multiple mailboxes and a telephone pole. The driver then left the scene. CARROLLTON POLICE Nov. 8 - Gerald J. Guthrie, 62, of 137 N. Star St., Carrollton, was heading west through the intersection of SR 43 onto Trump Rd. when an unknown vehicle began to turn off Canton Rd. southbound in front of him. Guthrie hit his brakes to avoid a collision but was struck from behind by the vehicle driven by David Burick, Jr., 46, of 1101 Gallo Rd., Carrollton. Burick was cited for assured clear distance. Nov. 15 - Dorothy A. Cooper, 77, of 4441 Arrow Rd., Carrollton, was sitting in the passenger seat of her parked vehicle in the Discount Drug Mart parking lot. Mary L. Cotton, 78, of Kensington attempted to leave the parking space next to the Cooper vehicle. Cotton cut the ambulance she was driving short and struck Cooper’s vehicle. Nov. 18 - The parked vehicle of Benjamin M. Bailey of Canton was parked along 4th St. NE. Karrine N. Bradford, 30, of 352 2nd St., Carrollton, was backing from a driveway and struck Bailey’s vehicle.

Dog licenses in Carroll County go on sale Dec. 1 Carroll County dog licenses go on sale Dec. 1 for the 2014 year. Cost is $12 per dog, $36 for a three year tag, $120 for a permanent tag or $60 for a kennel license. Licenses can be obtained by visiting the Carroll County Auditor’s office in the Courthouse, by mailing a check for the appropriate amount to Carroll County Auditor’s Office,
