Sherry’s Hello everyone! In the Se p te m b e r / October 2013 issue of Our Ohio Magazine, they h i g h l i g h te d “Farm to Plate” projects. One of the projects was “Breakfast on the Farm.” The event brought 1,100 people to a central Ohio farm to share a meal and to celebrate Ohio agriculture. It was to help promote eating local food and eating healthy. When I came across this book, I thought it would be perfect for Thanksgiving cooking ideas. What new and neat ideas! I think I’d like to try them all. If you grow your own garden, you will be delighted with her thoughts on food and how they grow. Wherever we purchase our food or if we grow our own, we need to be thankful for its bounty. Our food and where it came from should never be taken for granted. Oh, by the way, we tried the Cream of Turnip Soup with Seasoned Croutons that was featured in the Our Ohio Magazine. Excellent! Until next time, Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
