Shirt Design Project: Inspired by androgyny
RED DUST
Heritage project: Researching into local heritage of my hometown Consett in the North East of England, that is famous for its late steel works was extremely touching. I have spoken to many members of the community and found the feature that brings the most memories back is the red dust produced by the works. A perfect concept that represents an anecdote from the past, influencing colour stories and emotion for the project. The loss of the steel works brought quite a dull moment for the town and so the primary research collated reminds those that are older of a happier time such as the annual beauty pageant and skilled men at work.

Fish Out of Water
Design Realisation : During this project a lot of initial research was undetaken to ensure quality development of my designs. Silouhette and colour was influenced by primary contextual research into tropical fish and from looking at archived garments.

Project 2:
Never Permanent
The fast fashion culture is due to a trend concious customer. The un-permanance of clothing seems so small when in reality it is a drop in a very big landfill. This trend package weaves a sustainable future using fabrics that are either recyled or reused in a timeless collection.
HARIBO
Brand Design: I influenced the brand contextually by looking at the 19th Century bustle and exploring the idea of the ‘bubble but’. Focusing on HARIBO Tangfastics for colour, texture and silhouette. Print design became a huge part of the illustration project. I extended creative inititive and attended a life drawing class to devlop final illustration work. The designs became loud, vibrant and even inflated much like the sweet.
