Sport

About UNL Sport Clubs Recognized Student Organizations

Sport Clubs are comprised of individuals with a desire to compete or participate in a sport throughout their college career, and exist to develop students’ skill, dedication, and interest for specific sports. Each club’s level of activity is unique and ranges from regional to national intercollegiate competition. Sport Clubs continue to grow primarily due to strong student leadership, which is one of a variety of life skills that students can develop through their participation with Campus Recreation. Each club is represented on the UNL Sport Clubs Council and is a member of a recognized National Governing Sport Body.

How to Join a Team All currently enrolled University of Nebraska–Lincoln students are eligible to join a sport club. Faculty/ Staff or those with secondary memberships to Campus Recreation are also eligible for membership. However, each sport’s national governing body may have membership restrictions that supersede the above mentioned requirements.

Husker Kids™ Grades 2–6 A recreational day camp for children entering 2nd to 6th grades . We offer fun recreational, sport and lifetime activities throughout eight sessions. Our goal is to provide a supportive and enjoyable environment where learning and fun can go hand in hand. Specific sport instruction is not a goal of the camp. Special attention is paid to the age and skill level of each camper. Children entering 2nd to 6th grade are eligible for enrollment. A variety of recreational sports and leisure activities are offered each session. The camp activities are very similar to those found in a physical education class. Campers are assigned to groups according to their grade level. We encourage participation in all activities and spend the majority of time outdoors. FIELD TRIPS - A field trip will be planned for every session. THEME DAYS - Campers will participate in one special event activity each session. CRAFTS - Each session will include a make and take age-appropriate craft.
