Grate Master™ Shredder How to assemble for grating 4. Slide the cone into the hopper until its gear shape side sticks out of the small opening in the back of the hopper. Always hold the cone by the plastic rim, avoiding the metallic portion as the blades are sharp and could cause injury. 5. While holding the cone, place the handle on the gear shape side of the cone and fix them together by tightly screwing the turn handle.
4.
During long periods of use, periodically check to ensure the handle screw is still tightened.

Grate Master™ Shredder How to grate food 1. After assembling the unit, place a bowl or container below the hopper to collect the grated food. 2. Turn the handle clockwise to grate the food. Use the plunger to help ease the food through the Grater. Do not apply excessive force when pushing down; doing so will make it harder to grate food and could damage the Grate Master™ Shredder.
9
3. If the food gets stuck in the hopper, turn the handle counterclockwise a few times to release food. Once the obstruction has been cleared, revert to the forward direction again. Never apply excessive force.

The blades are sharp and injury could occur if contact is made. 2. Gently slide the cone out of the hopper while holding it. 3. Unlock the base by placing the base’s suction ring in the unlocked position. 4. Remove the hopper from the base’s groove.

RECIPES using GRATE MASTER SHREDDER™ ICE SHAVER CONE Raspberry Peach Real-Fruit Sangria GranitaORGANIZATION Snow Cones ½ cup sugar Homemade Snow Cone Syrup ¾ cup water ½ cup pomegranate juice ½ cup fresh squeezed orange juice 10 blackberries (plus more for garnishing) 2 cinnamon sticks (plus more for garnishing) 2 cups red wine
In a large pot, combine the sugar and water, and heat on low until sugar is dissolved. Add in pomegranate juice, orange juice, blackberries and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a slight boil, then simmer on low for 15 minutes. Let all of the ingredients infuse together until the blackberries lose their color. Remove the blackberries, pour in the wine and simmer for another 5 minutes. Remove the cinnamon sticks. Pour into Fresh & Pure Ice Trays (or a large Freeze-It container) and freeze overnight. Assemble the Grate Master Shredder fitted with Ice Shaver Cone. Place frozen cubes into the hopper of the Ice Shaver. Gently press on plunger while turning handle to process. Serve in a snow cone cup, garnish with a blackberry and cinnamon stick if desired, and enjoy!
Margarita Syrup 6 cups sugar 1/3 cup lemon juice (from about 2 lemons) 3 tablespoons lime juice (from about 2 limes) ¼ cup Cointreau ½ cup tequila Bring sugar and 1½ cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan, cook until sugar is completely dissolved, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and let cool. Stir in the juices and alcohol. Refrigerate syrup, covered, until cold. For each margarita, pour 2 tablespoons syrup over ½ cup shaved ice.
Strawberry Coconut Shaved Ice 5 cups ice cubes ½ cup cream of coconut 1 cup frozen strawberries 2 tbsp. agave or sweetener of choice (optional) Assemble the Grate Master Shredder fitted with Ice Shaver Cone. Place ice cubes into the hopper of the Ice Shaver. Gently press on plunger while turning handle to process. Place shaved ice in the base of the Power Chef System, fitted with blade attachment. Add in the cream of coconut, cover and pull cord until well mixed. Scoop the coconut shaved ice into cups. Then use the Power Chef to puree the frozen strawberries including agave or other sweetener, if using. Scoop strawberry mixture onto the top of the coconut shaved ice. Serve immediately and enjoy!
10 oz. bag of frozen raspberries 10 oz. bag of frozen peaches ½ cup agave nectar or maple syrup
Thaw the fruit overnight in refrigerator. Add thawed fruit and agave nectar (or maple syrup) to base of the Power Chef System, fitted with blade attachment. Cover and pull cord until smooth. Then strain the liquid to remove the seeds. Using a funnel, transfer syrup to a Squeeze It Bottle to make it easy to squirt over the ice. Unlike commercial syrup, this homemade real-fruit syrup doesn’t always soak completely into the shaved ice - so layering ice and syrup as you add them into snow cone cups works best.
Easy DIY Snow Cone Syrup 2 cups sugar 1 cup water 1 pkg. unsweetened drink mix (Kool-Aid or other brand), OR ½ teaspoon of your favorite extract In a medium saucepan, stir together the sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stir until sugar is dissolved while boiling for about 1 minute. Remove pan from heat and stir in flavored drink mix or extract. If using extract, start with ½ teaspoon then add more to taste if needed. Allow to cool completely, then transfer to a Squeeze It Bottle. Syrup will get thicker as it cools. Prepare shaved ice using the Grate Master Shredder fitted with Ice Shaver Cone, then squirt syrup on top.
Jell-O Shaved Ice 1 pkg. Jell-O, any flavor 1 cup boiling water 2 cups 7-UP or Sprite (or a similar soda pop) Whisk the Jell-O into the boiling water until it is dissolved. Stir in soda pop. Pour into Fresh & Pure Ice Trays (or a large Freeze-It container) and freeze at least 4 hours, or overnight. Assemble the Grate Master Shredder fitted with Ice Shaver Cone. Place frozen cubes into the hopper of the Ice Shaver. Gently press on plunger while turning handle to process.
