National Tourist Route Lofoten runs from Å to Raftsundet, over a total distance of 184 kilometres (Euroroute 10). This route can also be combined with travel on the Hurtigruten coastal liner, ferries and Euroroute 6 onwards to other National Tourist Routes.

1 TORVDALSHALSEN. This rest area offers a splendid view of the expansive agricultural landscape of Vestvågøy island, as well as the Viking Museum at Borg. Architect: 70° Nord – Gisle Løkken. 2 EGGUM. A strikingly unique rest area with a car park and service facilities. Eggum is a popular recreational area and one of Lofoten’s best spots from which to observe the midnight sun. NUSFJORD. This is one of Norway’s oldest and best
preserved fishing villages, with long traditions from the famous Lofoten cod fisheries. The village seems a living museum, filled with interesting buildings and historical flair.

4 GRUNNFØR. Here you can find a distinctive shelter and elevated vantage point for cyclists travelling along the outer edge of Austvågøy island. From Grunnfør, you have a view of the wide expanse of the ocean and the Vesterålen region. Architect: 70° Nord.
AKKARVIKODDEN (front page). Take a stop and enjoy the view of the ocean from the rest area at Akkarvikodden. The characteristic service building and the benches, all made of granite, reflect the rugged and stark scenery facing the Vestfjord. Architect: Manthey Kula. Landscape architect: Landskapsfabrikken – Inge Dahlman.
