POLICE HEADQUARTERS & PUBLIC SPACE SAN ISIDRO, ALMERÍA, SPAIN | PUBLIC BUILDING

LOW LEVEL
FIRST LEVEL
The main idea of the project comes mainly from the adaptation of this to their environment. The building sets back in the site to offer a public square that serves as a prelude to the building itself, like a pedestrian access. In this way in this way saves the slope between the building and the street, which limit the performance. The continuity is given to the city in order to promote the rapprochement of the citizen to a public building, which is considered as a inaccessible place.
06
At the same time, the building dignifies the environment providing the city because of its modern and resounding image, an architectural landmark reference implied term of a public building of this kind. The building is designed to be a functional element that responds perfectly the complex program of a police headquarters clarifying the public spaces, private use and related elements. In public access usages are located, including in this section access the public square. The ground floor is presented as a transition space between the public and private usages.

The plot of the intervention is located on a former farm full of trees. This plot has two major conditioning factors at the time of planning and building design and outdoor uses. On the one hand, the topography in which the highest point is located in the northwestern part of the plot, which is contiguous to the main avenue of the city and its lowest point in the southeastern part. The other conditioning factor is the vegetation that covers most of the plot, which consumes all the surface of this. SITUATION

Regarding the implementation of the building with the topography, it proceeds to a grading at elevation +50 m elevation at which you enter the building. In this way the building is located on the highest point of the plot and the park enjoying the best views. The sports and topography are perfectly suited, inserting these into the ground one meter below its uppermost level curve, allowing bleachers can form naturally.

LANDSCAPE INTERVENTION LOS CAÑOS , CÁDIZ, SPAIN| LANDSCAPE The workplace is located inside of the Bay of Cadiz’s Natural Park. The accesibility to the park is quite poor, although this fact has contributed to the maintenance of natural values of the area, also that it has been relegated to oblivion in the memory of an important part of the population. It is intended to turn the place by placing a series of artificial elements, such as itos, new paths, new vegetation, as well as putting the old military ruins which remain in this marsh. EXPANSION FOR THE LIBRARY OF BAVARIA
06
MUNICH, GERMANY| PUBLIC BUILDING
SECOND FLOOR
The expansion for the library of Bavaria, was born from two ideas. The first is the continuation of the building, fully longitudinally, from east of the main building, so it is all a continuous line that does not harm the environment or the cubic perspective and formed the main building and the first enlargement of Sep Rup. The second is the overhead lighting from direct radiation.
FIRST FLOOR
Next on the design in relation to the courts, it is the depth at which they arrive. Very interesting sections are created because in some cases the only court going deep of the second floor and in other cases, within the same space, can have different depth, leaving one second floor and the other piercing the building to the First floor. The Cabo de Gata-Níjar Geopark is one of the few sub-desertic areas in Europe and was the Àrst maritime and terrestrial Protected Area in Andalusia. The Geopark consists of a 380 square-kilometre terrestrial component, and a 120 square-kilometre marine component, along with 50 kilometres of the best preserved rocky cliffs in the Mediterranean European coastline. The park’s peculiarity in terms of ecology and landscape is due to its climate features, with a practically absence of a proper winter season, its geographic isolation and the traditional use of the land. It is an ecological boundarie with Africa and because that we share numerous species with the North of Africa, absents in the European continent. As a result of the aridity of the climate and the shortage of fertile soil, the ancient settlers in this land devised a system of wind mills, water wheels, wells and cisterns for the extraction and storage of water. These structures were registered in the General Catalogue of the Historical Heritage of Andalusia (2001).
