The curriculum scaffolds foundational skills while permitting you to design a learning experience that best suits your individual needs, strengths and interests. The new state-of-the-art Franklin College Science Center will open in 2019 and be home to 12 teaching labs, 3 research labs, research support spaces, and a greenhouse. It will also include space for collaboration between students and faculty and open areas for student interaction and quiet study time.

To be challenged and changed were Stephanie Agba’s goals when she came from Nigeria to Franklin to pursue a liberal arts education. Upon graduation, she will enter a PhD program in West Virginia and plans to pursue her dream of becoming a physical therapist.

International student Artur Schneider is setting new records in the pool and the classroom. While at Franklin, he qualified for the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving national championships, placing Franklin College alongside some of the most recognizable academic institutions in the U.S. In addition, Artur is a three-time NCAA Academic All-American, three-time academic all-conference honoree, and has been on dean’s list every semester.

For Sadie Stokes, building relationships is the key to making a difference. At Franklin, she volunteered with multiple service programs including Best Buddies, an organization that pairs students with individuals in the community who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. The experience was so meaningful, Sadie now plans to pursue a career working with individuals with disabilities after graduation.
