Wednesday, November 27 Dear Friend, As you may know, there is an election on Tuesday, December 3 to elect a state representative in House District 127 for Richmond and Jefferson counties. It is with a joyous heart that we endorse Diane Evans for this important position. Rev. Diane Evans has been an important member of our community for many years. Her dedication is evident in her long-time service as an educator, a pastor, and a mentor to many of our friends and neighbors. She is a loyal member of the Democratic Party, and was a delegate for President Barack Obama at the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte. Perhaps more importantly, she is correct on all of our issues. She wants to keep the power of Augusta’s mayor in check; she stands behind the President’s signature legislation - the Affordable Care Act- as it allows access to health insurance for working families in our community; she wants to bring jobs back to Richmond and Jefferson and spur economic development. Diane Evans stands with us on these issues. She is a woman of God. She is a person of integrity and character, and when we send her to the State Capitol, she will make us proud. Please vote on Tuesday, December 3 for our friend, Diane Evans.
