Editorial The Real Estate market in Malta remains a fast paced, exciting and busy industry, which continues to offer so many possibilities and opportunities for buyers, sellers and investors alike. Thanks to the ever-increasing demand by both locals and foreigners, who recognise that owning property in Malta has proven to be one of the most secure and solid investments available today, the market remains strong and does not seem to show any signs of slowing down. In fact, following the record sales achieved in 2016, this year is proving to be yet another very positive year for the company and during the first quarter we registered further growth in terms of revenue when compared to the same period last year. This augurs well for the future and is a result of the company’s ongoing investment in marketing, infrastructure and recruitment. Of course, the result is also very much thanks to the excellent team at Frank Salt Real Estate and also thanks to all our esteemed customers who have trusted and appointed us as their preferred property consultants. In terms of marketing activities, during the past four months, Frank Salt Real Estate held a number of seminars in China, South Africa, Russia and the UK, to mention a few. These events are organised by the company in an effort to promote Malta, the residency programs and the investment opportunities real estate offers. We have also launched a new marketing campaign ‘Let’s Be Frank’, which I believe truly highlights some of the advantages we offer our customers which have over the past 48 years contributed towards the ongoing success of this company. In line with our expansion plans and to support the growth and increase in activities, so far this year we have opened new offices in Cospicua, Mosta and San Gwann. We are also on track to open a new office in Fgura, a large office at the Forum in Ta L-Ibrag and a Commercial office in the Portomaso area of St. Julians. These new,

Neil Gatt Coleiro Letting Consultant This is my sixth year forming part of our Letting Team at Frank Salt. Throughout my time here I have worked from three offices starting with our Sliema office for my first year, Spinola office throughout my second year and am coming up to hitting the three year mark at our Head Office in St. Julians. I have always been surrounded by fantastic colleagues and supported by a great team! The industry we operate in is very volatile and everchanging, the learning never stops and there is a challenging nature about the work we do because you have to be focused and constantly on the ball in order to be successful. Along with the obvious monetary reward comes an overwhelming sense of satisfaction generated by finding people their perfect homes, particularly with clients relocating to Malta for the first time. The Real Estate industry can be very competitive, you really need to be prepared to hit the ground running so the excellent training and facilities provided by Frank Salt Real Estate serve as the best tools possible

Georgette Savona Ventura Manager’s Assistant I had initially started working with this company way back in 1979 at the age of just 16, as a full time secretary. At that time, the digital era was not yet introduced and the company had only one office in St Julians, a little further down from where our Head Office now stands. In recent years I joined the company again after taking on the role of a full-time mum. In my line of work, I have trained secretaries, helped out in the overseas, marketing, IT as well as the accounts department. I now work as a manager’s assistant in the letting department at our office in St.Julians. Besides the clerical work my duties include the smooth running of the office and lending support to the letting consultants in registering and leasing of properties. Letting is a very fast and competitive business and being ahead of your competitors is the key to success. This fast-moving line of business has always been my favourite division as one meets various people internationally and help them find the right property which they can call home. Another positive aspect about working at Frank Salt is the close relationships between the employees. In fact, a number of us have just returned from an incentive trip to South Africa which included shark diving, a safari trip, wine tasting, sky diving and a lifetime of laughter. I truly consider this company as my second family and for this reason I encourage anyone who is socially inclined and is interested in the property business to come and join us.

Pawlu Portelli Property Sales Consultant I started working with Frank Salt Real Estate two and a half years ago, little knowing the possibilities this job could bring me. I started originally as a Letting Consultant with the intention to switch to sales after two years since I was still new to the Real Estate world. I believed this could get me into the market more smoothly. Today I hold the position of a sales consultant and I can say with confidence that it is a very rewarding job. I meet new people every day and the opportunities to succeed are endless. This job gives me the opportunity to meet lots of people, even of different cultures, make new acquaintances and above all work in an enjoyable environment which for me is very valuable. Before joining Frank Salt Real Estate I never thought I could be good at selling. At that point I was not aware of the fact that ‘selling’ actually happens in so many circumstances in our every day life, with our family, friends and even in our relationships. I did not realize I was already doing it! Many people have it in them and might not realise… so go for it! It is extremely rewarding!


Roger Zammit Property Sales Consultant Being a property negotiator for a year and a half with Frank Salt Real Estate has been and still is an empowering job. Emma Camilleri Letting Consultant I have been working with Frank Salt Real Estate Ltd for the past three and a half years during which I have grown in my career, gained experience and did lots of networking! It wasn’t an easy start but with determination, persistence, hard work and positive thinking I managed to overcome the biggest challenge of my life so far. One thing I like about this job is that in many ways I am my own boss. It pays to put as much energy and time into this job as you can, and you can earn as much money as you want to, because results depend on how hard you work. Where there is a will there is a way! Somehow I always knew that I would be in the real estate industry. As a child, while my parents were selling their own house, I remember telling a Frank Salt consultant that when I grew older I wanted to be a real estate agent just like her! Until I got into this job with Frank Salt Real Estate I lacked passion and I did not feel excited and positive about the product that I was selling. I finally took a leap of faith and decided to try my luck as a Letting Consultant. Today I have no regrets, as the satisfaction that this job gives me when I close a deal and realise how much I have achieved, for myself and for my client, is out of this world! There are ups and downs but I always find support here, and once you set the ball rolling, things fall into place and that is where success begins.
