Melbourne’s premier business support program frankston.vic.gov.au/business
Message from the Mayor exciting initiatives and developments happening right now in Frankston City.
There has never been a better time to do business in Frankston City. Small business is the heartbeat of our city, with 98 per cent of Frankston City businesses employing less than 20 people. One of the nine key priorities in Council’s Economic Development Strategy 2016-2022 is to provide an environment that encourages vibrant and resilient small businesses. The Build Your Business workshop program is a key pillar for providing support to the small business community. For the first time, Council has partnered with co-working facility, Frankston Foundry, to deliver its most exciting and innovative workshop program yet. The program includes a range of topics, with a distinct focus on ‘business in the digital age’ and start-ups. The new look Build Your Business workshop program is one of many 2 frankston.vic.gov.au/business
Our city is in the midst of major transformation, with an enormous amount of public and private investment that will forever change the way it looks and feels. In just a few short years, our city centre will boast a state-of-the-art station precinct, major apartment developments and a new Chisholm campus. These new developments will add to a growing list of assets that includes Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC), South East Water headquarters, Frankston Yacht Club and Frankston Park Function Centre. All these developments are generating positive sentiment, which is driving business growth. I strongly encourage all local businesses to take advantage of the diverse offerings in the 2017 Build Your Business workshop program. Council’s Economic Development team also offers a wide range of other programs to assist new and existing businesses. To find out more, visit frankston.vic.gov.au/business or email: business@frankston.vic.gov.au to make an appointment.
