Like most intelligent people, I listen to Heavy Metal, am a Linux geek, and am extremely interested in the long evolution of this fine planet, and of all the creatures on it. Actually, make that the whole universe. And yeah: I've been telling people since the 1980s that mankind's megalithic history goes back before the end of the Ice Age (which was laughed at until they found Göbekli Tepe), and before 1995 I used to send people into fits of manic laughter when I emphatically stated that not only would we find planets outside of our solar system, but we'd find them in abundance, and that our solar system would probably end up looking mighty boring and average (we've now found super-Jupiters in close solar orbits, and planets made of diamond).
