Indulge in the Latest Season Offerings at Grande Provence

Escape to the Franschhoek Winelands where Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate is embracing season with a feast of new food and wine experiences. The new Heritage Spring Tasting Menu focuses on fresh local ingredients. With dishes such as Springbok loin with mielie pap chakalaka puree, honey and buchu jus, the menu is a collection of true South African heritage food. The menu is priced at R495 and R595 for three or four courses respectively without wines, or R780 and R880 paired with Grande Provence wines. Summer picnics at Grande Provence are legendary and is available until April 2020. Packed to the brim with delicious artisanal foods, the Grande Country Picnic basket is pure indulgence for a family escape to the Franschhoek wine valley. The picnics are priced at R700 for two people sharing or R350 for a single basket. The cost per child under the age of 10 is R150 for the kiddie’s basket. 48hrs notice is required for picnic lunches. Satisfy your oyster and bubbly craving any day of the week this summer during Happy Hour between 17h00-18h00 at Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate in Franschhoek. WINTERSLAAP is met 'n WoordTROfee bekroon as beste visuele kunsaanbieding by die US Woordfees 2017, asook met 'n KykNET Fiesta as beste visuele kunsuitstalling op 'n kunstefees. Met HANDSKRIF het Serfontein sy vennootskap met digters voortgesit en het hy konsepsueel in gesprek getree met sewe Afrikaanse vrouedigters, naamlik Antjie Krog, Lina Spies, Diana Ferrus, Melanie Grobler, Joan Hambidge, Wilma Stockenström en Jeanne Goosen. Die hand is die instrument van liefde en deernis, van geweld en woede, van beskerming en verwerping. Die hand is 'n werktuig, dit gee, dit neem, dit skep, dit maak kontak maar in hierdie uitstalling troos die hand. Die beeld wat hy as simbool van genesing gebruik in sy uitstalling is die van 'n perd. In die uitstalling jukstaponeer hy die twee beelde en suggureer dat wanneer daar kontak tussen mens en dier gemaak word, genesing kan plaasvind. Die perd wat as hoofkarakter in die uitstalling gebruik word is die bekende afgetrede resiesperd, Provocateur wat 'n nuwe lewe in Serfontein se familie gekry het en tans op stal gehou word by Courchevel in Franschhoek. Henk Serfontein se werke vang intieme oomblikke vas, vooropgestelde persepsies word afgebreek en nuwe moontlikhede word geskep. Sy werk is gelyktydig broos en formidabel. Konseptueel is daar meervoudige lae wat, in geheel, eerlike kommentaar lewer op die skoonhheid, kwesbaarheid en kompleksiteit van die menslike kondisie. A WALKING SHADOW is Serfontein se elfde solo-aanbieding. Twee van sy solo-uitstallings is internasionaal aangebied in onderskeidelik Parys en Barcelona.
