After School Program

After School Program is designed for anyone needing care after school, while providing a fun and productive environment for the kids involved. Every Tuesday, we will be attending the Library Program at the Fraser Library with Joy McCoy and staff. Registration for the Library Program will no longer go through the library, but must go through the Rec District. Snacks will be provided every day, and every day there will be play time, followed by homework time. During homework time we like to get a head start on the homework of the day, so that doesn’t have to be done all at home! For questions regarding this program, please contact Bryan at bryan@fraservalleyrec.org or 970-726-8968 x108. Paperwork packets with calendars will be available at the Rec Center or at the ASP. $5 fee for second child. Functional Movement Screen

The Functional Movement Screen is an assessment that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function. By assessing these patterns, the FMS identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These are issues that can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness. The FMS generates the Functional Movement Screen Score, which is used to target problems and track progress. This scoring system is directly linked to the most beneficial corrective exercises to restore mechanically sound movement patterns. The FMS score is used to track progress and identify those exercises that will be most effective to restore proper movement and build strength.
