2011 marks the successful completion by the FVMRD of four voter approved projects. These projects, a new irrigation system and clubhouse at Pole Creek Golf Club, the Grand Park Community Recreation Center and “The Icebox” at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex, will shape our Valley’s recreational future for years to come. During these challenging economic times, all four projects were completed on time and under budget. Local general contractors and subcontractors were chosen to assist in stimulating the local economy and the community was involved in both planning and design. The economy was further stimulated by the creation of local jobs to operate these assets. The completion of these community enhancement projects helps to position the Fraser Valley to compete against the very best when measuring quality of life for residents or drawing the destination tourist. Inside this guide you will find numerous recreational activities for all ages. All of which provide countless benefits, including improved health and fitness. If you haven’t already, we invite you to join us soon and Thank You for your continued support of the FVMRD.
Summer 2011 registration will begin on-line Tuesday, May 24th at 6:00am. On-site, phone or e-mail registration will begin Wednesday, May 25th at noon. For more information please read details on page 4.

Registrations for classes and programs are taken during business hours by phone, on-line, or in-person, and are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Internet registration is also available 24 hours/day at www.fraservalleyrec.org. Online registration for new, seasonal programs will be available 6 hours prior to on-site registration. Payment MUST be made at time of registration. Outstanding balances must be paid in full prior to new registrations. AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM REGISTRATION Please fill out a calendar with the days your child is planning on attending so that we may staff accordingly. You do not need to pre-register on-line or on-site for the After School Program. If you are not in our system and would like to be, please come visit us at the Rec Center or you may call us at 726-8968. This does not mean that you have to have a membership to browse our site on-line, it just means that we need to have you in our system so that you can receive a login and password. Your login and password will be your Household ID which can be found on any FVMRD receipt or call us at 726-8968 to attain that information as well. Once you login for the first time, you will be prompted to change your password. Please be sure to peruse our menu bar so you can make yourself familiar with our system. “My Account” will take care of most services for your household, while all of your registrations can proceed through “Search” or “Shop”. Once you are logged into the system, you can search our database by a few different avenues: keyword, age, gender, or activity number. Once you have found the appropriate class, you would click the “cart” symbol. Next you would need to select the family member that you wish to register and then click “Add to Cart”. You may either continue browsing or check-out at this point. Check-out procedure is similar to most other on-line shopping vendors.
