I. CORE WORSHIP & DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAMS A. SUNDAYS HOSPITALITY

NEXT GENERATION

Parking Usher: Welcome guests and members onto the campus and direct the flow of traffic safely. Two hours, one Sunday per month. Contact: Ron Rein, rrein@frazer.church.

Children’s Greeter/Check-in: Welcome families and assist parents with checking in children and directing guests to their assigned rooms. Background check required. One hour, one Sunday per month. Choose 8:30, 9:45 or 11 am. Contact: Cami Culpepper, cculpepper@frazer.church.

Guest Greeter/Usher: Welcome guests and members at the entrances, and/or serve as an usher to hand out bulletins, welcome worshipers, direct them to available seating, and assist with offerings, communion, and other worship moments. Connection Point: Provide information to guests and members on how to connect to Groups, Missions, and other aspects of our church. Children’s Group Leader: Lead Bible study discussion and activities for a small group of children (K4–5th grade) using curriculum provided. Background check required. Nursery Helper: Partner with parents to provide love, guidance and care for our nursery-aged children and to nurture the children’s love for God. WORSHIP & MUSIC Worship Prayer Team: Pray during one of our Sunday morning services (8:30 or 11 am). Choose from two options: hedge prayer behind the scenes in the prayer room, or altar prayer being available during the service and immediately afterwards for prayer with individuals. Bible Study Class Officer: Coordinate prayer/care, social activities/ events, missions and other various duties for an adult class. Schedule varies but should be a regular attender of a 9:45 am Sunday Bible Study class. Contact: Kelly Slover, kslover@frazer.church.

Audio, Lighting & Stage Crew: Set up and tear down Worship Center stage, and/or be trained to run sound in live and/or broadcast environments for the contemporary service. B. WEDNESDAY EVENINGS

TV Production Crew: Facilitate sharing our worship services with the world through television and online streaming by operating a camera or video graphics. Technical knowledge not required, training provided. Commitment: one or more Sundays per month, from 8 am until noon, plus special services as needed. Contact: Will Adams, wadams@frazer.church.

GROUPS Bible Study Class Teacher: Teach a Bible-based lesson and provide leadership for an adult class at 9:45 am Sunday mornings throughout the year. Training and leadership covenant required. Contact: Kelly Slover, kslover@frazer.church.

HOSPITALITY Connection Point: Answers questions in the Atrium Connection Point to assist guests and help people take next steps to get connected to groups, serve teams, and mission opportunities. One Wednesday per month, from 5:306:30 pm. Contact Monica Barna, mbarna@frazer.church.

NEXT GENERATION Nursery Helper: Help rock, stroll and play with God’s little children (birth–age 4). Background check required. For 90 minutes, Wednesdays. Students Group Leader: Create lasting relationships as a mentor with a group of students (6th-12th grade) by leading a discussion based on a Gospel-centered message presented by the Student Ministry Staff during the IMPACT student worship service. SPORTS Sonshine Soccer: Coach a team, K4 – 6th grade. Training provided; expert knowledge is not required. Practices are one hour on either Tuesday or Thursday evening, with a one-hour game on Monday

evenings. Background check is required. Contact: Craig McKissick, cmckissick@frazer.church. Half-time Witness: Share a five-minute inspirational message at one of our Sonshine Soccer games on Monday evenings in April and May. Contact: Craig McKissick, cmckissick@frazer.church.

MEDIA Photographer: Take photos of worship services, ministry programs or special events, using your own equipment, to be shared on Frazer Media. Background check required for events/programs in Children’s or Student Ministry. One Sunday per month or as assigned. Contact: Kym Klass, kklass@frazer.church.

BUILDING Safety Team: Perform a building safety check in specific areas of the church. Two hours monthly. Contact: Bob Wood, bwood@frazer.church. Maintenance Helper: Perform light maintenance around the church as assigned. Half a day, once or twice a month. Contact: Jerry Robinson, jrobinson@frazer.church. Worship Center Care & Decoration: Assist with preparing and beautifying our Worship Center weekly and/ or for Advent/Christmas. Contact: Bob Wood, bwood@frazer.church.


CARE Homebound Visitation: Listen, love, and pray with an elderly person who is homebound or in an assisted living/nursing facility. Contact: Neil Epler, nepler@frazer.church. Care Calls: Make phone calls from home to those who are unable to attend services or classes, and let them know they are missed and give words of encouragement. Contact: Neil Epler, nepler@frazer.church. Visits with Pets: Known as the PAWS Ministry. Share your love of animals a couple of hours each month by taking your friendly pet to visit people who are sick or homebound as a means of emotional support. Contact: Neil Epler, nepler@frazer.church. Funeral Support: Known as the “Joseph Ministry.” Serve our grieving families during visitation or a funeral service when it is held at Frazer. Choose to serve as: a greeter to welcome and guide guests around our church campus the day of the service; serve during visitation; or hand out printed programs prior to the funeral service. We offer each family loving, compassionate care, and comfort during this very difficult and emotional time in their lives. Contact: Neil Epler, nepler@frazer.church. Cancer Care: Known as “Our Journey of Hope Ministry.” Be trained to give support to cancer patients and their caregivers in one-on-one and

group settings. Contact: Neil Epler, nepler@frazer.church. Sewing for Preemies: Also known as “Threads of Love.” Knit or crochet items for premature babies. Commitment: Meet at the church once a month. Contact: Sharon Hall, mhall1@elmore.rr.com.

PRAYER Ministry Prayer Team: Also known as “Ministry Prayer Partners.” Pray for needs and upcoming events for our Frazer ministry areas weekly on your own schedule. Information is updated monthly. Personal Prayer Team: Volunteers, known as “Upper Room Intercessors,” pray in the Prayer Room at church or from home weekly for prayer requests submitted online or by phone. “Heart Notes” (written cards) and “Email Prayer” volunteers respond to these requests by mail or email a few times each month and pray for the needs submitted. Contact: BJ Nave, rnave@frazer.church. Prayer Shawls: Crochet or knit prayer shawls for those in need while praying for them. Meet with Prayer Shawl Team 1st & 3rd Thursdays at 10 am. III. MISSION AREAS CONNECTING AT-RISK CHILDREN TO FAMILIES Foster Care Provider: Be trained by DHR to become an approved foster care provider. In addition to DHR training, Frazer works to create a community of like-minded foster parents and supporters to uphold you in the difficult but rewarding journey of fostering. Contact: Elizabeth Drollette, edrollette@frazer.church. Foster Care Support: In partnership with Promise686 ministries, provide direct care, prayer and encouragement to Montgomery County foster families by creating “care communities” who live out God’s promise in Psalms 68:6 to “Place the lonely in families.” Contact: Elizabeth Drollette, edrollette@frazer.church. Transformation Montgomery Children’s Ministry: Work with children from the TM Preschool, Chisholm Elementary School, and within the

Garden Square community through one or more of our weekly programs: Mondays, we have a Reader to Leader Program at Transformation Montgomery, and volunteers are needed to assist the same child each week with reading enrichment. The Good News Club (Tuesdays 3:15-5 pm) at Transformation Montgomery, volunteers needed to assist with the program. Training provided. Background check required. Also, monthly outreach to Chisholm Elementary School teachers, providing items of encouragement. Contact: Debbie Peavy, dpeavy@frazer.church.

ENDING FOOD INSECURITY Backpack Ministry Helper: Packing and delivery of food to Dalraida Elementary School for children in the community which are at risk of food insecurity. One-two hours per week during the school year. Contact: Jenny Chou, jchou@frazer.church.


Mission Areas Food Pantry Assistant: Assist with sorting and stocking food donations for our ministry to those experiencing a food crisis. First Sundays for one hour and/or Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30-11:30 am. Contact Jenny Chou, jchou@frazer.church. Meals on Wheels Delivery: Work with MACOA (Montgomery Area Council on Aging) to deliver hot meals to a homebound senior at risk of food insecurity on one of three Frazer routes. Monday– Friday just before noon, 60-90 minutes. Contact Jenny Chou, jchou@frazer.church.

BREAKING CYCLES OF POVERTY Transformation Montgomery Home Renovation: Assist with renovating properties in the Garden Square neighborhood of North Montgomery. Completed properties are offered to qualified families as part of a long-term strategy to provide pathways out of generational poverty through affordable housing and community transformation. Construction skills/experience not necessary. Weekly Thursday morning workdays and/or quarterly Saturday workdays. Contact: Debbie Peavy, dpeavy@frazer.church. Transformation Montgomery Adult Ministry: Assist with various adult ministry programs including financial coaching, health and wellness classes at Transformation Montgomery in North Montgomery. There is also an opportunity to help with the

Wednesday Morning Ladies Bible Study, which is held at the Transformation Center from 10-11 am. Volunteers can also help by providing snacks for the Bible Study. The mission of TM is to transform lives one person, one family, and one neighborhood at a time through affordable housing, holistic life skills training and relational community renewal. Contact: Debbie Peavy, dpeavy@frazer.church. Homeless Care: Partner with River City Church and Reality and Truth Ministries to show God’s love in practical ways to people who are homeless. SUPPORTING HEALTH FOR ALL Blood Donor: Donate blood to save lives through one or more Frazer sponsored blood drives held quarterly on Sunday mornings. April 10 and July 10, from 8 am - 1 pm. Contact: Jenny Chou, jchou@frazer.church. Wheelchair Ramps: Also known as the “Roll Up Your Sleeves” ministry, plan and construct wheelchair ramps for elderly or disabled persons as needed. Contact: Jenny Chou, jchou@frazer.church. Medical Outreach Ministries: Assist with medical or administrative work serving the uninsured or medically underserved at


Mission Areas the Medical Outreach Ministries Clinic, 5741 Carmichael Pkwy. Weekday morning or afternoon shifts are available. Contact: Jenny Chou, jchou@frazer.church.

OTHER MISSION AREAS ESL Helper: Assist adult students in learning conversational English. Co-teach a class or assist with testing. Training provided. No foreign language knowledge is required. Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 pm during the program year (Sept.– May). Contact: Jenny Chou, jchou@frazer.church. Prison Ministry: Give a personal witness to how Christ has worked in your life at Kilby’s prison chapel program. Background check and state training required. Tuesdays, 6-8 pm. Life on Wheels: Street advocates pass out “coupons” for a free ultrasound at the mobile unit on South Perry Street, Mondays and Tuesdays, 8-9:30 am, or 9:30-11 am. Client advocates advise and assist clients on the mobile unit. Various 3-hour shifts available Monday through Friday. Training required. Contact: Jenny Chou at jchou@frazer.church. Sewing Ministry: Sew quilts and other projects for outreach to those in need. Meet Wednesdays 9 am–12 pm in the Sewing Room, or sew from home on your own schedule. IV. SERVING FROM HOME Note: These options are offered for those who desire to serve but who are minimizing contact outside the home. Virtual Worship Host: Participate in live streaming worship on Facebook or frazer.church/live, greet other online worshipers, encourage engagement, and alert Media staff to any problems with streaming quality. Sundays at 8:30 or 11 am, one or more weeks per month. Contact: Kym Klass, kklass@frazer.church. Virtual Small Group Leader: Facilitate group discussions using video teachings and/or other Bible-based resources and foster an environment for building faith-affirming relationships within a small group (typically 3-12 adults) using an online platform such as Zoom or RightNow Media. One-two hours a week. Training and leadership covenant required. Sign up now for the
