Fred DuVal

Fred DuVal is an entrepreneur, civic leader, advisor, and author. He is the founder and President of DuVal and Associates, a consulting firm established in 2001 that provides strategic guidance on government affairs and policy. The firm serves diverse clients across various sectors, including healthcare, infrastructure, energy, and finance, helping them navigate complex political landscapes in Washington, D.C., and state capitals. Throughout his career, DuVal has made significant contributions to public service, particularly in higher education. He is serving his second term as a Regent for the Arizona Board of Regents, a position he has held since 2007. He made history as the first individual in Arizona to be appointed to the Board by both Democratic and Republican governors. He has held leadership roles during his tenure, including Chairman in 2011 and again in 2023. His work has focused on initiatives to improve access to higher education, including creating programs to simplify credit transfers between community colleges and universities in the state. He has also advocated for higher education reforms to increase student affordability, accountability, and access.
