David Lee Murphy Headlines Fair Concerts

The Gillespie County Fair is digging deep into its country roots for musical entertainment this year.

Grammy Award winner David Lee Murphy will headline the concerts Saturday night.

Joining Murphy on the bill for Saturday night are Lindsey Lane & Jack Ingram.

Thursday night’s entertainment will be Erik Y Massores. Friday night brings even more excitement with the appearance of Jake Hooker & The Outsiders.

Famously known for his single, “Dust On The Bottle,” Murphy is thought of in the country music industry as one of the best songwriters, having written for musicians like Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Hank Williams, Jr., etc.

Ingram is another well-known country performer. In his career, he has released 11 studio albums, an extended play, six live albums and 19 singles.

Songs the Houston, Texas native is most known for are “Wherever You Are,” “Barefoot and Crazy” and “Measure of a Man.”

Amarillo singer Lindsey Lane began her career in the recording industry when she released her first EP, “Gypsy Leavin’,” in January of 2017. She began recording her first full-length album, “Nomadic Lover,” in May of 2019.

Since getting her career started, Lane has been voted Amarillo’s Best Female Vocalist in 2019, 2020 and 2021, and is a Nashville’s MusicRow charting artist.

Times for Saturday’s performers are to be determined, but Gillespie County Fairgoers can expect Tejano music at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Jake Hooker & The Outsiders by 8 p.m. on Friday.

David Lee Murphy will bring his awardwinning talent to the stage of the 134th Gillespie County Fair Saturday, Aug. 27.
