STANLEY FAIR FRIDAY~SATURDAY~SUNDAY August 19~20~21 Stanley Fair Opening Dinner in the Dance Hall, Stanley Fair Grounds Doors open at 6:00 Dinner served at 6:30 A little history ... For decades this event was known as “The Judges Dinner”. It was a formal event with invited guests including Fair judges, distinguished citizens from Fredericton and benefactors of the Stanley Fair. In recent times it has become a community dinner welcoming everyone to celebrate the kick off to the Stanley Fair. Our own Kirk MacDonald, MLA Fredericton – York acts as Master of Ceremonies. The menu for the dinner features local and New Brunswick products. MENU Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings--new potatoes, peas/carrots, turkey, dressing, gravy, cranberry sauce, coleslaw, homemade pickles, homemade rolls and homemade pound cake with blueberry sauce for dessert, tea and coffee at a price of $14.00 per plate. Doors open at 6:00pm Dinner served at 6:30pm Kirk does double duty and steps up as auctioneer for the Decorated Celebrity Cake Auction. Decorated cakes are donated by area residents, service clubs and various local “celebrities”. This is a very entertaining and humourous event but the cakes are no joke! They look amazing and always taste delicious. Bring your wallet and take one or two home with you. All proceeds from cake auction go to the Stanley Fair.
