PLEIN AIR PAINTERS 6–9pm:
Thursday, November 15th from 5–9pm. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, shop up an appetite and stay late. From watching glassblowing at One Eared Cow Glass to enjoying holiday festivities at 911 Lady Street to getting a start on your holiday shopping at The Backpacker, you’ll find something to make everyone happy at Vista Lights. And plan to stick around — just because the official celebration ends at 9pm doesn’t mean you can’t stay for more late-night entertainment and a nightcap.
The entire Congaree Vista community will take part, with Gervais Street closed to car traffic from Gadsden to Assembly streets, and Park and Lincoln closed from Lady to Senate beginning at 6pm. Galleries, shops, restaurants, bars and nightclubs will stay open late, showcasing their best holiday wares, food and libations. See all the listings inside this insert.

Vista Lights Entertainers Vista Lights is full of fun — there’s something festive for everyone. Ride a carriage, take a photo with Santa, watch the artists painting, listen to live musicians all over our neighborhood, visit our art galleries and see their shows. Look for these entertainers and artists as you stroll around the Vista: MUSICIANS: Chris Condon Brass Duo
Vista Lights is as family-friendly as ever and this year, we’re so excited about Lincoln Street, also known as “Sweet Street”. Cupcake, The Peanut Man and Tutti Frutti have teamed up for Vista Lights and have gingerbread treats to offer kids of all ages. Whether it’s a special offer on gingerbread cupcakes at Cupcake, decorating a gingerbread ornament at The Peanut Man while grabbing a gingerbread lollipop, or having gingerbread selfserve yogurt at Tutti Frutti, stroll down Lincoln Street for a taste of the holidays in the Vista. But don’t stop there: make s’mores at Longhorn, try delicious holiday cookies at Liberty and visit with Santa at Marble Slab.
