Silent auction items and food will be available. *All proceeds will go to Brooklyn Hayson Brooklyn had a medically necessary bilateral breast reduction on August 6th. After surgery, things were going great until that weekend, Friday she was taken to the ER and things went downhill fast. By Wednesday she was hospitalized for sepsis and taken by ambulance to Owatonna Hospital. She was in the hospital for 4 days and in that time needed 2 blood transfusions and it was discovered that this was caused by her autoimmune disease. During her hospital stay Brooklyn’s left breast opened up and dail A few days later, she was she developed a deep wound that had to be packed daily. taken to the Rochester emergency room. The wound had opened up entirely and all her breast tissue died. She had to have a partial mastectomy on her left breast. She currently has a wound vac and is still unable to work. This will be a very long recovery as Brooklyn still needs skin grafts and reconstructive surgery all while fighting this autoimmune disease.

Brooklyn also fosters rescue dogs. She fosters for Must Love Corsos Rescue, MinnSociet esota Newfoundland Rescue, Paws First Rescue, and Freeborn County Humane Society.

Brooklyn takes in all kinds of dogs, but mainly takes in the bigger breeds and special needs dogs. Fostering is Brooklyn’s biggest passion and during all of this her dogs have been the number one thing on her mind.
