NEWS & NOTES 2014 WINE TASTING RESULTS IN HIGHEST ATTENDANCE EVER! This year’s October 9th Wine Tasting was a festive event with our highest attendance ever! The wine and beer showcased by our many distributors, courtesy of Highland Wine & Spirits, was delicious and varied, allowing our guests to sample wines from around the world and from local vineyards, as well. Zeffert & Gold’s food pairings for the evening were the perfect accompaniment as everyone enjoyed the live jazz music of Marissa Muro. Attendees were again able to purchase fine jewelry from Craig Coyne Jewelers of Ellicott City, delicious chocolates from Parfections, LLC and lovely wine for the holidays! This year’s Chinese auction ranged from a signed Cal Ripkin baseball to a Huge Halloween basket packed

with

ghoulish

accessories!

Many thanks to Diane Croghan and Tom Marlatt for chairing this event!

Guests enjoying the 2014 Wine & Beer Event.

THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND IS GRATEFUL FOR OUR

GENEROUS CORPORATE DONORS

Our Corporate Donors have been so faithful to our fund raising endeavors that it is hard to imagine where we would be without their loving support. Their monetary gifts, in-kind donations and giving spirits help us to help our scholars. Madison Mechanical and Engineering, Inc. has supported every fund raising event for the past 13 years. The Wine Tasting would not be the same without Craig Coyne Jewelers’ Sam and Jason who bring lovely jewelry and their personalities to the event and of course there would be no wine without Bharat Jani, owner of Highland Wine & Spirits! Many thanks also to the St. Louis Parish Community for their constant support and prayers. When you give you receive 100 fold. Thank you all for your generosity! 4
