How to play:

Place 2 Boccia balls in front of the hoop (more challenging) or mat (easier). Player rolls their ball to knock the Boccia ball into the hoop or onto the mat. Then reverse it! Put Boccia balls in the hoop or mat and get the participants to knock them out.

How to play:

The court is divided into four areas (scoring zones). All players play from one end of the court. Each participant has 2 Boccia balls and takes it in turns to play. Participants challenge an opponent to a zone of their choice and battle it out! Participants attempt to propel a ball into the scoring zones, from a seated position.

How to play:

Split the group into 2 teams. Each participant has 2 Boccia balls. Lay a set of 1 to 11 Numbered laminated cards out in the space you have. In turn roll the balls over the cards, from a seated position, to gain the points on the card. First team to or closest to 21 WINS!

How to play:

Split the group into 2 teams (Red & Blue) Teams sit opposite each other. Set skittles out like in the photo below (all standing). One skittle is red the other is blue in each pair. Red team has to knock the blue skittles down.

Hoops/cones as obstacles - ships have to avoid. Skittles as oil rigs- torpedoes to knock over to cause a hazard!

How to play:

Red team play down the court. Blue team play across. Red team roll the ball down the court across the line or into a hoop to get into the ‘harbour’. In the meantime, Blues are the torpedoes. Blues are trying to hit the ships and they are trying to get down the court. Every ship into the harbour - 1pt to the Red team. Every ship hit by a torpedo - 1pt to the Blue team. If the Red team sail a ship and it does not reach the harbour, this is an anchored ship and is open to be hit. Keep the score and swap round.

Change the size of the hoops. Change the distance.

How to play:

Place 9 small hoops in the middle of the court (3 by 3 square). Teams sit opposite each other, with the grid in the middle. Playing from a seated position, take it in turns, to throw a ball into a hoop. Players can try to score or block the other team from getting three in a row. First team to get 3 in a row WINS!

How to play:

Players sit opposite each other in the playing area. Place 3 hoops in front of each team. Each team has to get their balls into the opposite teams hoops in a set amount of time. Missed balls become obstructions. The team with the most balls in the hoops wins. Play as many ends as you wish.

Create a snake across the floor with hoops. Increase or decrease field of play.

How to play:

Split the group into 2 teams; Red and Blue all players sit in front of a row of hoops. A hoop at one end has to be Red, the other end has to be Blue. ‘Red team start at the Blue hoop and work down to Red’. Blue team start at the Red Hoop and work down to Blue. Ball has to stay in the hoop before moving on, first team to their ‘home’ wins!

Increase the distance of your first throw/roll.

4 balls per person. Play (throw/role) your ball at least 1.5 metres away. Hit your first ball with your second ball and score = 1pt. Hit ball 2 with ball 3 = 1pt. Hit ball 3 with ball 4 =1pt. If you miss the previous ball you have to aim for each thrown ball in turn.

Make up your own rules, to adapt this game. Increase/decrease size of the playing area.

How to play:

Scatter lots of cones around a defined area (mine-field). Roll the balls from a seated position, players create a clear pathway through the mine-field. Removing the hit cones, to create the pathway. First team to roll a ball through the minefield WITHOUT hitting any cones - WINS!

Approx. 3m away from start line, set up 10 skittles in a line, with a small space in-between each one. Skittles are Space Invaders. Red Boccia balls are aliens, who want to protect the space invaders. Reds roll a defensive force field using their balls to protect the space invaders in front of the skittles. Blues are then attacking balls and have to try and knock down the skittles. Attacking balls must be rolled and cannot be thrown. Once all attacking balls are thrown swap over and see who can knock down the space invaders.

Change the object! E.g. £5 note, coin, A4 paper.

Place an open sheet of newspaper (the target) on the floor. Set the target at a distance that is appropriate to the group. Every ball that gets onto the target wins a point. Once everyone has thrown, collect the balls in. Fold Paper in half and repeat! Keep folding until you can’t fold the paper anymore. Replace the paper or jack with different objects to challenge players.

For a game similar to Boccia, use a Boccia court and more targets around.

How to play:

Each player has a bingo card with 5 numbers on. Players takes it in turns to roll a Boccia ball onto a number on their card. Whatever number they hit everyone with that number marks it off. First player to get a full house wins!

How to play:

Players sit side by side, on a set of chairs (2 chairs side by side) playing into a hoop. Each player has 2 balls to roll/throw into the hoop. Player with the most balls in the hoop wins. If the score is a draw, player shootout! By removing the hoop and replacing it with a Jack ball. Players play one ball each, closest to the Jack wins. If you win you move up a set of chairs (or hoop), losers move down a set of chairs. Winner is the player sitting in the ‘throne’ at the top of the ladder when time has ran out.

The ball has to land on the stepping stone rather than roll over. Move stepping stones to different areas.

How to play:

Can be played from seated or standing position. Place Red,Yellow and Green marker spots on each side (but in front) of a target in the middle (these are the stones). Players take it in turns to roll the Boccia ball over the Red stepping stone to move on to Yellow then Green. Once you have rolled over the Green stepping stone you can aim for the target! First team to get the ball on the target wins!

Change size of hoops to make it harder or easier. Sit players closer or further apart.

How to play:

Please use the photo below for set up instruction. First player serves the ball over the net and into a hoop. Opposition has to return their own ball over and get into a hoop. A missed shot has to be returned to win the point. If both miss no points are scored and return to serve. Once there has been a successful return and a rally has begun the next team to miss loses the point. Play 3 games to complete a set. For ramp users use a table or something a ball can be rolled under.

How to play:

Play like a real game of snooker, hitting cones in correct order to score the highest break.

How to play:

Scatter a variety of coloured cones in a set area- equivalent to half a Boccia court. Player rolls a ball, one a time to hit the cones in play. The hit cone is collected. Cones are score in relation to the points on a Snooker table, Red = 1 Point, Yellow = 2pt, Green = 3pts, Blue = 5pts & White (foul) = - 4 pts. Each team/player takes it in turns. When all cones are collected, the game has finished. Team/player with the highest score wins!

Each team have to get a ball on each segment to win the game. One person from each team to throw at one time. Red and Blue teams. Red nominate a segment on the parachute. One player from each team attempt to get their ball into that section. If they reach the segment they get a point. Blue team now nominate a segment and so on. Team to complete the circle wins!

Give a Penalty against anyone who throws standing up. Or stops a goal with any body part.

How to play:

Use two Skittles for a goal post, placed in front of players. Big soft/lightweight ball placed in middle of Boccia court. Each team can shoot at will but must remain seated. Hitting big ball with Boccia balls to send the ball into the goal. The only way a team can defend is with a thrown Boccia ball to send the ball in an opposite direction. If ball goes out of play game is stopped and balls collected in your own half. You can use any colour Boccia balls that end up in your own half. Game restarts after a goal. Red and Blue balls returned to their teams and big ball placed in the centre. Penalty = 3 shots. Ball is placed on offending team’s goal line. Free shot no defending allowed.

Split groups into 2 teams. Bowlers sit in front of 6 skittles (wickets) placed 3 metres away. Batters sit in front of a large hoop, placed 3 metres away. When the coach says “go” the bowlers have to knock all the wickets down, at the same time the batting team are trying to get as many runs as they can by rolling the balls into the hoop. If all balls have been thrown and wickets still remain, collect balls and continue. When all wickets are knocked down, add up the batting teams score.

Team sit opposite each other at either end of the court with hoop in front of them. One player is chosen to defend, they role their ball out in front of the hoop. Attacking team try to get balls in hoop passed defensive ball. Teams swap over, most points win!

2 teams; Playing opposite each other. Try line 1m in-front of each team. (Flat marker lines/court markers/ Boccia tape). 1 team rolls their 6 balls into court. To act as defenders to block the oppositions pathway to the try line. Attacking team have to roll their balls to get past the defensive teams balls and over the try-line to score. Must be rolled into play. Try = 5pts, take a conversion for = 2pts. If an attacking ball hits a defensive ball in play. Defenders get a ‘penalty’ = 3pts. All penalties and conversations are taken at the end of play. Penalties and conversions are taken by placing foam skittles at an appropriate distance apart. Player has to roll the ball through middle of the posts.
