Campus Visitors

CAMPUS VISITORS Who is considered a campus visitor? Any person who is not assigned as an employee of the building.

Parents and other adults can visit schools. Frenship is not limiting visitors. However, this is subject to change based on disease level activity. The district will notify the campus, students, and staff in advance if we limit visitors.

• All campus visitors will self-screen for COVID-19. • All visitors will also comply with the following procedures: • Enter through a secure entrance (main offices that have a vestibule) • Use hand sanitizer • Comply with all applicable District policies and procedures • Provide identification to staff member • Clear plexiglass shields are installed in the front offices of each campus to reduce the risk of exposure and spread. • Anyone who leaves and re-enters the building during the school day must follow these same procedures.

PARENT MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES Both experience and research tell us that a child’s education is most successful when there is effective communication and a strong partnership between home and school. We will create options for parents to participate virtually when they do not feel comfortable entering the building.

Parent conferences (ARDS, 504 etc.) may be done virtually with the agreement of both parent and the campus.

VOLUNTEERS Volunteers must follow the same check-in and screening process as other campus visitors.

REGISTRATION, MEET THE TEACHER, AND OPEN HOUSE EVENTS • There are no limitations on the number of parents, guardians, students, and siblings who come to registration, Meet the Teacher, or Open House events. • Hand sanitizer stations are placed throughout the campus for visitors.
