According to a U.K. report, Buckingham Palace ordered Meghan’s old pal Jennifer Meyer, 42, to cease and desist using images of the duchess, 38, wearing Jennifer’s jewelry on social media. “People are stunned” by the petty move, says an insider, adding that Jen — who is the daughter of a powerful Hollywood exec and exwife of Tobey Maguire — is tight with dozens of A-listers, including Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow. “Her brand is super successful, and her famous friends happily wear and promote her designs because they’re beautiful.” Those stars still appear on the designer’s Instagram page, but Meghan has been removed. “I’ve never heard of someone demanding such a thing from a high-profile brand that they have so openly worn,” says the insider. “It seems Meghan is exerting extreme control over her image. hey’ve hugged and kissed hello at Wimbledon. They’ve strolled the streets of NYC after a late-night dinner. They’ve whispered in each other’s ears at fashion shows. And on Dec. 8, Bradley Cooper, 44, and Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour arrived at London’s Heathrow airport together to catch a flight to New York. They were dressed very differently — he was casual in sweats and sneakers, while she wore a long black trench over a red dress — “but they were definitely together,” an onlooker tells In Touch. “They seemed so at ease with each other, it almost

looked like they were a couple.” Some are beginning to wonder if the A Star Is Born actor and the fashion powerhouse really are an item. “They seem to always be together,” says a source, “and people are starting to buzz about it. At first no one thought anything of it, probably because of their age difference. But now…I mean, why would they be flying together from London to New York?” It’s been reported that Lady Gaga, 33, is the reason Bradley broke up with his girlfriend, model Irina Shayk, this past summer, “but wouldn’t it be funny,” says the source, “if Gaga was just a red her-

Brittany Murphy’s sudden death at age 32 right before Christmas 2009 shocked the world and continues to confound people, including her half sister, Pia Jo Reynolds. While the LA County coroner concluded the Clueless actress died as a result of pneumonia combined with anemia and “multiple drug intoxication from prescription and over-the-counter medication,” Pia, 39, tells In Touch, “I was not aware she was sick. hen it was announced that Greta Gerwig’s follow-up to her highly personal directorial debut, Lady Bird, would be yet another adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel Little Women, many fans understandably asked: Why? But, fortunately, Gerwig is up to the task of answering that question. Familiarity with Alcott’s novel (or at least the 1994 adaptation starring Winona Ryder) doesn’t hurt: Gerwig employs a nonchronological narrative alternating between two time lines. It begins with writer Jo March (Saoirse Ronan) returning home to her sick sister Beth (Eliza Scanlen), while flashing back to how they grew up with sisters Meg (Emma Watson) and Amy (Florence Pugh) and mother Marmee (Laura Dern) as their father (Bob Odenkirk) fought for the Union in the Civil War. Gerwig even cleverly concocts her own twist on the ending that feels modern and yet still true to Alcott. Brimming with artistic ambition, romantic longing and family bonding, this tale is well worth
