here are seven new families, which come in numerous colors and models, presented this year by Barovier&Toso on the occasion of the renewal of the L, S and T catalogues.

With the insertion of the families launched last year with Addendum 2009 and the addition of the new models of 2010, the three catalogues of chandeliers (L), lamps (S) and traditional lighting (T) further expand the offers that Barovier&Toso has created to satisfy the most diverse lighting needs.

The light sources are also innovative.

THE CATALOGUES With revamped covers, the L and S catalogues have been notably expanded with the insertion of the collections presented in the Addendum 2009 catalogue – which brought together the new Euroluce models – and the addition of seven more new collections, four of which are in the L (chandeliers) catalogue and three in the S (lamps and suspended lights) catalogue.

The T (traditional lighting) catalogue, on the other hand, has been reworked and relieved of the collections which – after many years – have become part of the historical archive of Barovier&Toso production.

The graphic design is again by Marco Strina who showcases the new creations with photos by Marco Magoga of Studio Pointer.

The artistic supervision is still by Franco Raggi, who is also one of the designers, together with Daniela Puppa, Alessandro Piva, Giorgia Brusemini, Sara Pedrali and Matteo Thun, to name but a few.

THE COLLECTIONS Torpedo Taif Temple guardian, slender and light as a spear An out-of-the-ordinary chandelier, developed prevalently in height (up to two and a half metres), suitable for lighting reception areas or high-impact settings. With the same fusions as Taif (monochrome, pastorals and crystal pendants), it is available in three different heights and with nine, twelve or eighteen lights.

Torpedo Amsterdam In the palaces of the canals of the North, the elegance of curves Three notable heights, up to two and a half metres, to light areas of considerable dimensions. Recalling the arms of Amsterdam, a highly successful chandelier with rostrato crystal and shades, guarantees an unparalleled dramatic effect. Nine, twelve or eighteen lights.

Torpedo Nevada Janissary of renowned casinos, refined and graceful With the elegant arms of the Nevada chandelier, this family’s strongest features are its height, which can reach up to two and a half metres, and its slenderness. Suitable for large receptions or scenic curved staircases, Torpedo Nevada is available with two, three or four levels, with nine, twelve or eighteen lights respectively.

Tamtam Almost an inverse drum, it diffuses warm light over a table laden with food An elegant, innovative solution for low ceilings rooms. A chandelier that is also a suspension lamp, with a large lampshade with diffuser screen in cotton which directs light downwards.

With transparent or opaque glass and cotton shades, it is available with 12, 15 or 18 arms.

Quark Gushing glass, lit from within, streams from modern L.E.D. fountains Quark was created from a marriage of glass from the best Murano tradition with silver leaf and L.E.Ds, creating an explosion of magical light. The structure is chrome-plated, supported by steel cables of adaptable length and fitted with a fluorescent lamp which directs light downwards thanks to the screened opening. Three sizes, two types of arm to create three combinations, with a total of nine different models.

Cuvée The sparkle of the best champagne by the Maison Inspired by the name and design of the noblest of champagnes, Cuvée is a suspension lamp featuring “bark” spheres. Four models of different heights allow it to be adapted to any situation.

The structure is made of chrome-plated steel, with a slight nineteen-seventies flavour. The coordinated sconce, with its cylindrical body, features two coloured spheres lit by two 50 watt energy-saving halogen lamps.

Exagon Suspended cascades and modern fireflies, in a thread of transparent or coloured reflections Transparent lotus leaves, embellished with tiny gold flakes or in pale colors, float in the air, lit by L.E.Ds which highlight their forms. Three or five energy-saving halogen lamps are embedded in the chrome-plated plate.

The L.E.D. holder has the same finish (available as an optional).
