C O L L E C T I O N
Wood is in our DNA. We have been working with this material since 1994 when we first stumbled upon it as a perfect light diffuser and decided to create light pieces for our home. We have cut, folded, bent, sewn, fibre glassed and glued veneer since our beginnings. The result was PolywoodŽ, an in house patent, that revolutionised the way we could use veneer. Since then we have always used the arts to promote and market our products. High Fidelity was created in house as a promotional tool to promote our 2013 handmade lamp collection. It reflected a moment in history when beauty, elegance, experimentation and innovation were turned into a social phenomenon; a time when very different areas of culture began to dialogue amongst themselves, from design, be it graphic or product design, to architecture, cinema, music, fashion and photography. This dialogue in turn lead to a genuine social transformation of a way of living life. Now we present Stereovision, our new communication campaign for 2014, which has been conceived as a natural evolution from High Fidelity. As in history itself, we are keen to continue our dialogue from that inaugural moment of modern living embodied by the culture of the 50’s, a time when the momentum of creative energy came across innovative life-style technologies that became available to everybody. In the field of music we are talking about the invention of stereo; in cinema it’s the appearance of Technicolor. With the concept of Stereovision it is clear that we wanted to pay tribute to the music and the movies of that period of time that gave us the legacy of some legendary moments of our culture. But at the same time we also wanted to underline something that is at the core of our present day work: the research into new technological possibilities regarding the color and temperature of light that allow us to understand how light contributes to creating the atmospheres we live our lives in.

Asterisco Asterisco is a new lamp by Valencian design studio, Cuatro Cuatros. A fun, practical light that really makes a statement. Its presence is so punctuating that the studio decided to call it Asterisk. Its clever integration with a lectern makes this lamp ideal for restaurants, hotels and hospitals just being next to the phone to take notes.

Domo The seventies, a great decade for the invention of dome shaped objects, like the transparent dome umbrella, the dome hat with those round orange sunglasses incorporated into it; but what we most cherish from this decade is the dome of silence from the TV series Get Smart. When Rqr Estudio presented us the design, we just had to have it.

Candelabro Agatha Legend has it that in 1926 Agatha Christie strangely disappeared for eleven days in 1926. They say she retreated to a health spa to heal a broken heart. Surely, the Agatha lamp could have been created in such a setting. The elegance of the work of LuĂs Eslava, the author of this series, comes through in this expressive design. A light that plays a key role in spaces with soul.

Candelabro Totem In Istanbul, two friends, Mariví Calvo and Burkhard Dämmer, came out of the spice market smelling of spices, tea and tradition. Totem is like a dream about the Ottoman Empire. With the Totem, the designers have recuperated it’s splendour without the superfluous details. The Totem may turn any room into a bazaar for the senses.
