Besonders hohes Einsparpoten zial wird durch den Einsatz einer tageslicht- und präsenzabhängi gen Beleuchtungsregelung erzielt: Das im Raum vorhandene Tageslicht wird bei Bedarf durch Kunstlicht von Leuchten mit dimmbaren elektro nischen Vorschaltgeräten ergänzt. Lichtsensoren erfassen das vor handene Beleuchtungsniveau aus Kunst- und Tageslicht. Die Leuch tengruppen werden in Abhängigkeit der Raumtiefe und des Tageslichtan gebotes so angesteuert, dass ein vorgegebenes Beleuchtungsniveau von z. B. 500 Lux eingehalten wird.

Use of the daylight- and occupancydependent lighting regulation solution light control +3 can roll back lighting bills by a considerable amount. With such systems, the available daylight in a given space is supplemented as needed by electric lights that integrate dimmable ballasts, while light sensors detect the existing level of lighting comprising artificial light and daylight. Thus constellations of lights are controlled in accordance with room depth and the amount of available daylight such that a pre defined lighting level (i.g. 500 lux) is maintained.

Der Nutzer hat hierbei jederzeit die Möglichkeit, seine individuell gewünschte Beleuchtungsstärke selbst zu beeinflussen. Kunst- und Tageslicht ergänzen sich bei dieser Anwendung hervorragend. Wird zusätzlich ein Präsenzsensor verwen det, wird die Beleuchtung automa tisch nur dann eingeschaltet, wenn sich Personen im Raum befinden. Dadurch erhöht sich das Einsparpo tenzial nochmals deutlich.

And of course the user can intervene at will to adjust the lighting to the desired level. The result: an optimal confluence of natural and artificial light. If a presence sensor is added to the mix, the room lighting comes on automatically only when the room is occupied, thus substantially ramp ing up the potential energy savings.

AMBIENTE Das light control +3 AMBIENTE Lichtmanagementsystem dient zur Steuerung für statische als auch dynamische Beleuchtungskonzepte. Mit einem einzigen System können vier Ausgangskanäle einzeln gesteuert werden. Es verfügt über eine inte grierte Ablaufsteuerung für vier sepa rate Sequenzen sowie über 16 frei deﬁnierbare Lichtszenen. Es kann leicht mithilfe eines verpolungssicheren Stecksystems auf ein Maximum von 16 Steuergeräten (64 Kanälen) erweitert werden. Anwendungsmöglichkeiten sind z.B. Besprechungs- / Konferenz räume, Restaurant, Bars oder Shops.

Our light control +3 AMBIENTE light ing management system can be used for both static and dynamic lighting solutions. A single module allows for individual control of four output channels. The AMBIENTE system features an integrated sequence control for four separate sequences as well as 16 freely programma ble lighting scenes. The system can easily be extended to a maximum of 16 control devices (64 channels) thanks to the reverse polarity pro tected plug-in system. Our PROFESSIONAL system is sui table for complex applications such as daylight-dependent lighting con trol, RGB- and dynamic light scenes.

Auf Knopfdruck können in einem Konferenzsaal einzelne Lichtszenen für z.B. Empfang, Vortrag und Dis kussion aufgerufen werden. Die Licht szenen können jederzeit vom Nutzer angepasst und geändert werden, was den hohen Flexibilitätsanforde rungen gerecht wird. Für Räume, die überwiegend von unterschiedlichen Personen genutzt werden, wie z.B. Schulungsräume, ist zudem eine einfache, komfortable und selbst erklärende Bedienung sehr wichtig. Bei Veranstaltungen schaffen ver schiedene Lichtszenen ein festliches, konzentrationsförderndes oder gemüt liches Ambiente. Bestimmte Bereiche können nach Bedarf durch einzelne Leuchtengruppen individuell beleuch tet werden. Anwendungsmöglich keiten sind z.B. Großraumbüros, Produktionsbereiche oder Museen.

Circadianes Licht biologisch wirk sames Licht Das Tageslicht ist natürlicher Takt geber für den menschlichen Rhyth mus. Bereits seit den 80er Jahren forschen Wissenschaftler auf dem Gebiet der Wirksamkeit des Lichts auf den Menschen. Erst 2001 ent deckte man Zellen auf der Netzhaut, die nicht für das Sehen verantwort lich sind. Seit Entdeckung dieser sogenannten Ganglienzellen ist be wiesen, dass Licht auch biologisch wirksam ist: Die Zellen reagieren auf sichtbares blaues Licht und sorgen somit für die Synchronisation unse rer inneren Uhren mit der Umwelt. Seitdem fasziniert das Thema Licht und Gesundheit nicht nur Biologen, Ärzte und die Lichtindustrie sondern auch Lichtplaner, Architekten, Ar beitgeber und Investoren. Die Wir kung des Lichts auf den Menschen durch Intensität und Farbe ist mittler weile Schwerpunkt zahlreicher For schungsstudien. Ziel dieser Studien ist es, durch dynamisch gesteuertes Kunstlicht mit tageslichtabhängigem variablem Blauanteil das circadia ne menschliche System zu stärken. Das sogenannte circadiane Licht bil det den tages- und jahreszeitlichen Verlauf des natürlichen Lichts nach. Durch die programmierbare dyna mische Tageslichtsimulation über Anpassung von Beleuchtungsstär ke und Farbtemperatur wirkt das Kunstlicht biologisch positiv auf den Menschen. Die Studien belegen, un sere Lebensqualität lässt sich durch circadianes Licht nachweislich ver bessern: es ermöglicht sicheres und effizienteres Arbeiten sowie konzen triertes Lernen in Schul- und Bil dungsstätten. Circadianes Licht för dert das menschliche Wohlbefinden und unterstützt die Heilung. 22

In Pflegeheimen und Krankenhäu sern hilft circadianes Licht, den gestörten Tag-/Nachtrhythmus von dementiell beeinträchtigten Patienten zu stabilisieren. Durch die Verminde rung des Blauanteils im Kunstlicht in den Abendstunden analog zum natürlichen Tageslicht wird die Me latoninbildung bzw. die Müdigkeit der Patienten gefördert. Wo ein Auf enthalt der Bewohner im Freien oft nicht mehr möglich ist, fördert dieses dynamische Kunstlicht Vitalität und Mobilität, mindert Depressionen und Aggressionen und wirkt emotional stabilisierend. Von diesen positiven Effekten profitieren Patient und Per sonal im anstrengenden Schichtbe trieb der Gesundheits- und Geriatrie zentren gleichermaßen. Speziell für diese Anwendungen ha ben wir die circadian Box entwi ckelt, die in Verbindung mit Leuchten wie Econe® Hybrid, Mondana® und Parledo ein geschlossenes System ergeben.

Circadian light and its impact on human beings Daylight determines the natural rhythm of life. Scientists have been doing research on the effect of light on human beings already since the eighties, but only as late as in 2001 they discovered the retinal ganglio cells, which provide evidence of the biological effect of light. These cells react to visible blue light, thus syn chronizing our internal clocks with the environment. Ever since “light and health“ has not been fascinating only biologists, doc tors, and the lighting industry, but also lighting designers, architects, employers and investors. The impact of light and its intensity and colours has become the focus of numerous

research studies. The aim of these studies is to strengthen the human beings‘ circadian system with the help of dynamically controlled artifi cial light with a daylight-dependent variable percentage of blue light. The so-called circadian light imitates the circadian and circannual rhythms of natural light. The artificial light based on programmable dynamic daylight simulation, which is achieved by ad justment of illuminance levels and colour temperatures, has a positive effect on human beings. The above mentioned studies have proved that the quality of life can be improved by circadian light; it helps employees to perform their work safely and effi ciently, and students to concentrate for longer periods of time and assists with the processing of information to the brain. Circadian light promotes human health and well-being as well

as healing processes.

In hospitals and nursing homes cir cadian light helps to stabilize the disturbed circadian rhythm in de mentia patients. The reduction of the blue light share in the artificial light in the evening hours promotes the production of melatonin and thus the patients’ tiredness. In patients that cannot go outside this kind of dynamic artificial light promotes vital ity and mobility, reduces depression and aggression, and has a moodstabilizing effect, which is a great benefit for both patients and health care workers. Especially for these applications we have developed the circadian box, which, used in conjunction with lu minaires such as Econe® Hybrid, Mondana® and Parledo form a selfcontained system.
