Hall Orchard Pre School

BACKGROUND INFORMATION Hall Orchard Pre-School has been open since 1993 offering well equipped facilities. Fourfold as it was previously known is registered through OFSTED as a pre-school provider under the government funding scheme.

During their time in Pre School, our children learn the importance of independence in dressing, toileting and healthy eating choices. They learn skills that promote well being, using tools appropriately and caring for themselves. The children will also develop skills to choose and interact appropriately with peers in a caring and nurturing environment

Health and Self Care

Children at the Pre School have access to our Fruit CafĂŠ every morning. Water, milk and fruit are all on offer and the children are encouraged to be independent in serving themselves and others.

The children are encouraged to wash their hands and we use the Fruit CafĂŠ to promote healthy choices in food.

is an emphasis on children learning but we also believe it is essential to look at the whole child emotionally and educationally. A child that is confident and sociable and is able to ask questions and find out the answers will have the ability to manage any future challenge and change that may present itself.

have the opportunity to access computers, appreciate music and participate in a carefully planned Pre-School Curriculum, which includes a wide variety of topics. We believe that only through capturing children’s interest and enthusiasm will they find learning an enjoyable process and therefore thirst for more. By offering lots of opportunity and experiences, children are able to take the next step to school as well rounded, confident, independent and happy individuals.

Children at the Pre School have opportunities to explore letters and sounds in a fun and interactive way.

We have daily activities to encourage our children in learning letters, initial sounds, and exploring the sounds within words. These all promote early reading and writing skills.

We use songs, books and games to support new learning.
