Hello, It’s a pleasure to meet you! We’re Rob and Jordan and we are very excited to share our story with you through this adoption profile. Of course, we recognize that you are faced with an incredibly difficult decision. We hope that these words and photos will show what a loving environment we can provide to a child. The two of us want nothing more than to bring another beautiful life into our happy home—to love, to laugh and to continue our wonderful adventure with us. —Rob and Jordan

Our life Lucky in love

A two-wheeled trek in our nation’s capital.

Getting pumped up for the yearly Easter scavenger hunt at Jordan’s parents’ house.

hile “love at first sight” may seem hard to believe, that’s just what happened with us. On a beautiful summer night in 2009, we saw each other from across a crowded room at a beach restaurant. At that moment, something sparked in both of our hearts. It didn’t take long to realize that we were born to love each other. The rest has been one exciting adventure after another. We have since made our bond official, getting married at our home surrounded by our closest family and friends … and a farm full of animals. Our life together is an active one. You’ll often find us outside, either tending to our horses, taking a walk around the pastures, or playing fetch with our yellow lab, Britney. We always find a way to make the most out of each moment, even if it’s just dancing around the kitchen as we cook dinner on a random Tuesday night. And as prospective adoptive parents, we can’t wait to welcome a child into the fun!

e live on an 11-acre horse farm that’s halfway between Philadelphia and New York City. We’re lucky enough to have the best of both worlds. There’s plenty of space to run and play, and the property is next to a development that is full of families with children. You’ll often find neighborhood kids sledding in our fields in winter or swinging from the rope swing down by the creek on a hot summer day. We are very close with our neighbors. Our farm is home to a number of animals, with 4 horses, 4 barn cats, and 1 playful pup. There’s always a furry friend who needs feeding, walking, or just a little love.

Our farm is a relaxing place for people AND horses.

Rob always finds a way to entertain our guests.

Our house is both cozy and spacious. We love to cuddle up next to the fireplace in winter while watching a movie or playing a game, or roasting s’mores outside in the fire pit in summer. It’s also the perfect venue for a game of hide-and-seek with our dog. Britney scurries around searching for us as we call her name from our hiding spot. We don’t know what’s more fun to witness—her determined search or her joy when she finds us. Whether it’s taking walks at the nearby reservoir, watching Britney splash around in the stream, driving into the city for the day, or singing along to music as dinner is cooking, there’s plenty to do no matter the day. We can’t wait to share all of this, and much more, with our child.

Britney has a meet and greet with our horse Split.

ordan is the most amazing person I have ever met. I couldn’t imagine a more compassionate, loving or caring individual if I tried to dream them up. Jordan grew up in a loving home. His mom was an English teacher and his dad was the chief of police. Together with his older brother and younger sister, life was full of family game nights, sing-alongs and happiness. His wonderful upbringing molded him and his siblings into generous and kind people—and this is what we would like to mirror with our own children. He is always there for family or close friends. If they need a shoulder to cry on, the perfect advice or just a smile to get them through

One of Jordan’s favorite parts about the ballpark—the food!

the day, Jordan is ready and willing to help. Jordan makes every day-to-day activity fun. From singing or playing guessing games on a car ride to the grocery store to dancing to music videos while cleaning the house, his outlook on everyday life is like a ray of sunshine. When he’s not getting creative at his job in advertising, Jordan loves going to the movies and playing board games with family and friends. He likes to stay active and enjoys working out, especially running. Jordan is my best friend and would be the best dad because he is “practically perfect in every way.” I can’t wait to see Jordan with our children because nothing could be a more precious sight or mean more to me.

Never content to just sit around, Rob is at his happiest when he’s working on the farm. His workshop is his playground, and he’s always dreaming up his latest renovation to make our home even more special.

Rob is also incredibly accepting of everyone. He never passes judgment and just wants to get to know you as a person. Rob loves without question.

Rob’s kind nature instantly puts anyone he meets at ease. He is one of the most patient people I know. This comes in handy when you are managing a farm of animals!

His warm personality makes Rob the perfect host. He gives Martha Stewart a run for her money when it comes to throwing a dinner party. You get to see both sides of Rob when we have guests—the distinguished host and the youthful jokester. One minute he’s taking your coat and the next he’s playing with our young cousins outside. And his cooking…wow!

hen I imagine the qualities of a perfect father, I picture a man with the maturity to love unconditionally and the childlike spirit to be playful and fun. And all of those qualities are reflected in Rob.

Rob is not just one thing. He is not just an analyst, a farmer, a host, or a dreamer. He is all of those things wrapped up in to one kind and loving soul. To reference one of his favorite activities—he is the recipe for the perfect father. My life has been made so much better because of the warmth of his love. I know Rob will shower our child with the same love and care he shows me and all of his loved ones.

We were both raised in homes where every member of the family felt fully supported and loved for exactly who they are—down to every quirk. We will build that same kind of loving family environment for our child.

It’s completely normal for our weekend plans to center around guests visiting. This means lots of great dinners prepared by chef Rob and lots of puppy visitors for Brit to play with!

We like to think of the farm as the hub for all family gatherings. Besides hosting Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve for our immediate families, we usually throw an annual Halloween Party in the spooky r bar n (but not too scary!) barn on the property. ou

ife’s adventures have taken us to many exciting places in the time we have been together. Our first vacation together was to Disney World, and that has become one of our favorite destinations. Both Disney kids at heart, we schedule yearly trips there with Rob’s family. For fun in the sun, you’ll usually find us at a nearby beach. There are quite a few within driving distance to us. Jordan’s family rents a beach house every year for a week. This is the perfect opportunity for some family boardwalk trips to play arcade games and ride the rides! We also have fallen in love with the beaches of St. Martin and try to visit every year or so. We have made many friends on the island, some of whom own restaurants and are always very welcoming to us when we visit. We are excited to train another little adventurer as we continue to explore the world together as a family.

Thank You Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story, learn about our home, and discover the love we share. We know this is just a small glimpse into our lives, so please let us know if you have any questions. We would be happy to fill in any blanks to help you get to know us better. We hope to speak with you soon!
