A hat-trick from Ian Ormond led New Zealand to a comfortable 4-1 victory against New Caledonia at Wellington's Basin Reserve. The goals capped a remarkable feat for the Ormond family as Ian's father Bert had scored his last goal for the national side only eight years before. The Kiwi's other goal in this game was scored by Alan Vest. New Zealand won a second international against New Caledonia 2-1 a fortnight later. Programme courtesy of Dave Petraska.
