Greetings to all our alumni that graduated from the Master of Human Resource Development / Organization Development graduate program! We here in the Alumni Office are always excited to hear from you and what you have been doing since you finished your degree. More importantly, we are looking for someone who would like to volunteer to write for this class newsletter.
The whole purpose of the class newsletter is to give our alumni an opportunity to network with one another, no matter where you live or where you work while still keeping in contact with Friends. The duties are minimal and the benefits are well worth the time invested into writing the class newsletter. If you are interested or would like more information before making the commitment, please send an email to alumni@friends.edu.
Interested in volunteering to write for this class newsletter? Please contact the Alumni Office. You are invited to the inauguration of President Dr. T.J. Arant.
It is with much sadness that we share with you the passing of Mary “Cookie” Wiebe, M’01. Cookie passed away Oct. 31, 2011. She was involved greatly with the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) and even served the MCC doing community development in Chad, Africa, from 1989-1992. From 19951999, she and her husband, David, worked at Woodstock School in India where she served as the new staff coordinator.
Cookie was an excellent teacher and public speaker, passionate about many things such as helping people overcome poverty and injustice, and she was interested in great ideas and meaningful discussions. She sought to live life intentionally, with no regrets. A memorial for Cookie has been established with Peace Connections / Circles of Hope. Our thoughts and prayers go to her husband and surviving family members. As always, you can keep the Alumni Office posted of your endeavors by completing the information on the top of page 2 of this newsletter and mailing it back to us. Best wishes for a blessed new year and we look forward to hearing from you in 2012!
