Where is the Master of Business Administration degree offered? We offer adult-focused master’s degrees in Wichita, Topeka, greater Kansas City area and online. Not all courses and programs are available in all locations or in both online and on-campus formats. Please check with your Admissions Counselor for more details.
How many credit hours will it take to complete the program? Each three-credit course is offered in an eight-week session, with on-campus courses meeting one night a week. The MBA degree requires 36 credit hours.
Is the program accredited? Yes. All Friends University undergraduate and graduate degrees are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
Will I be required to take a Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)? No. Neither test is required for entrance into graduate programs at Friends University. All graduate programs require a pre-admissions interview with the program director.

MBA Concentrations Accounting You will learn… The MBA with a concentration in Accounting is a professional degree designed to prepare you for financial leadership positions. The Accounting concentration will further develop your skills in the technical areas of auditing, tax, law and advanced accounting. Developing critical thinking skills in the areas of economics, marketing, operations and management will allow you to take accounting concepts to a higher level and to use them to impact the success of the businesses you serve.
Business Analytics You will learn… With organizations’ ability to collect increasing amounts of data, companies are looking for employees who can analyze and interpret Big Data. Through the MBA Business Analytics concentration students gain a working knowledge to mine enterprise data systems to improve insights about customers, competitors and internal operations. They develop skills in how to use statistical methods, data extraction and analysis through decision-modeling in order to harness data and make sense of it.
Change Management You will learn… Businesses need leaders who are able to successfully lead organizational change. The accelerating rate of change requires leaders who are not only technically competent, but emotionally intelligent and able to effectively lead the human side of the change process. This MBA concentration will help you understand the process of innovation and the role of sustainability. Grasping the concept of design thinking is central to this process. You will be able to understand organizations from a systems perspective and to think strategically. The MBA Change Management concentration is designed to help you lead your organizations into the future.

Health Care Leadership You will learn… If assuming a leadership position in the health care field is a career objective for you, the MBA with a concentration in Health Care can help you achieve your goal. Recent changes in the health care field have created new complexities for leadership. You will study such topics as: risk management and decision making; health care finance; quality management in health care; and managing complex health care systems. These concentration courses combined with six courses from the general MBA curriculum will help you develop the necessary leadership and management skills to be effective in a rapidly changing health care environment.
Management Information Systems You will learn… If you are seeking a technology-related leadership position, the MBA with a concentration in Management Information Systems (MIS) helps prepare you. This MIS concentration is ideal if you have actual experience or if you are seeking academic preparation to pursue an interest in information systems functions within your organization. The purpose of the MIS concentration is to accentuate the need for systems thinking as you and your team securely collect, store and analyze data to meet your organization’s needs.
Supply Chain Management & Logistics You will learn… If you are involved with exporting, importing, production and business along the I-35 corridor between Canada and Mexico, or various areas of the U.S. or world, this concentration will give you the skills you need to keep pace with the increasing demands of a global economy. The Supply Chain Management and Logistics concentration will broaden your understanding of System Applications and Products (SAP), conducting lean manufacturing reviews, obtaining certification in Six Sigma and developing a supply chain to obtain a competitive advantage.
